Because both refs were too busy watching Spezza get jacked up by a clean hit to notice Girardi get a stick in the face about 5 feet away.

On MSG, I thought it was extremely obvious, and one of the refs was about 8 feet from where it happened. Girardi went down and was bleeding; easy 4 min call for any competent ref.

I thought it got pretty wussy well before that. Sleepwalkers on skates.

You say ridiculous things a whole lot, but this is by far the most ridiculous.

Wearing ourselves out in our own period... if something doesn't happen soon it's not looking good. I usually don't complain against the refs but a high stick + blood? Why no penalty?

Too many soft players on this team don't look like they want to compete. What a shame, they are wasting a great defensive effort.

Sick of watching this team come out flying to get a lead and then just sit back. When you start spending shift after shift after shift playing defense I think it's time to start creating offensive pressure.

Another thing that bothers me for the first time in a while is Torts and his terrible lineup management. Stop letting OTT get all the damn momentum.

Just goes to show us, even an elite goaltender can't save this team sometimes. They need to step it up for Lundy.

We need some of that Pen/Flyer offense. Pass it over.

And they do very well with it.

The Rangers just keep tossing it up there and getting crammed in.
Yes.

But the problem is deeper than just sending up the boards. Ottawa is overplaying EVERYTHING, and when the puck won't sit, an Ottawa stick is there to break up the outlet. The Ottawa speed is killing the Rangers down low.

Yeah that frustrates me the most ... when they "lay back" ... ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK!

staying out of the box should be our focus...can't focus on offensive if for 2 minutes ever 6 minutes you have to play defense.

This the two Washington series all over again. Just complete domination in our zone. How is this team different? They're not much better than those 2 teams.

It is extremely disturbing that it seems like every game there is an extended stretch where the Senators dominate the flow of the game. They're a good team, for sure, but they shouldn't be controlling the flow of the game like that.

That one happened the second round. What made it worse was Drury was called for a double minor minutes later. It was a joke considering they stopped the game for 5 minutes to clean the ice of his blood.

But I agree. What's new though.
