Well it is true. And it is happening. I guess nobody told the Flyers.
If it's true, that means we are gonna win Game 5.
What he was saying is that in Game 3 Pittsburgh lost in a most embarrassing fashion (almost as embarrassing as we are right now). Based on your "It's how you lose" theory, Pitt should have been garbage tonight. WRONG.
I expect us to play with our best effort on Friday. The group will not let this feeling go and the memory of tonight fade and accept it. They will be there on Friday.
Luckily, we put ourselves in a position to where we could afford to not show up because we had 3-0 lead. Now it's 3-1, and the fact the Pens will have severely rocked a boat that was in cruise mode will help us.
Just a quick stat FWIW, Pens had winnings streaks of four games or more four times this season while the Flyers had no losing streaks of four games or more. There's a reason only three teams came back from 3-0. It ain't easy and nothing to worry about after one loss or even two. If it gets to game seven, then start to worry. Games 4-6 are all essentially the same thing: win and its over, lose and back to the drawing board tomorrow. Game 7 is where the circumstances change. Obviously it would be nice to win tonight or Friday, but losing those games does not amount to a series loss.
