It sounded to me like they were just sitting him to avoid further injury. Probably the kind of thing where he got hurt, but not injured. No point to risk turning that into something serious in a game that is that far out of hand.
No pronger, mez and now no grossman. That means one of lilja, kubina or gus is going into the top 4 that alrady includes carle....im real scared! Pronger where are you?? Someone hold me?....
Amazing how just one game can cause such a momentum shift but that's the playoffs for ya....if Grossmann is lost it's going to be tough closing this thing out but I still think we will..but it might turn into a squeaker ....
So, since that was an obvious elbow, does Kennedy get a call?
I have a feeling he won't....damage done. This Pitt team is just pulling out all the stops to win..cheaply of course. They won't go away quietly..... that is for certain. War of attrition...
I don't know about you guys. I was worried before this game and now this. Realistically, being down 4 defenseman who normally start how can you come back from that with shoddy goaltending to boot?? We were holding on for dear life with a grossmann who wasn't at 100% and now this. Its just ridiculous how the injury bug has killed us this year and at the worst time. I don't think any other team has more key injuries. Certainly not the Pens or the Rangers.
Malkin caught him with the second hit - one that looked like shoulder to the head. Not sure if the league is looking at it, but maybe they should do. Didn't look nice at all
Saw the clip of Malkin hit on Grossmann... direct shoulder to the head but I'm pretty sure nothing will happen because they already suspended 3 Pens last game.. not to mention Malkin just need to say:" I jumped into Grossmann's face to brace myself for an unintended collision."
I can't believe how ugly that game was tonight.
