One question: could he be called up to the NHL this year, for a try-out for a few games, or something like that? I can't see him being too much worse than Penner, or if an injury occurs, he could be a guy that could fill in. I wouldn't mind seeing what Ryan can do in the NHL, even if it's for only a game or two.

Yeah, I thought I heard Burke saying Ryan needed to work on his conditioning/leg drive in order to make Anaheim's roster?

I don't think he can until the end of his OHL season, unless it's on an emergency call up basis (not sure how those work).
