You Kings fans are tripping if you think the Canucks are gonna win this series.
I've been a Nucks fan for over 15 years and know my teams tendencies all to well.
The Canucks thrive off of confidence. More than any team in the league. Once the get in to a rhythm they can be lights out.
If I was a Kings fan I would be most scared of the Nucks power play clicking. I think the Kings would slowly stop the physical play if the PP started firing and that's one of the edges you have over us.
Our season depends Kesler and Burrows now. If they start playing well I can see us taking game 5.
I wouldn't worry about it though. It's a formality now. It's not if the Kings win, rather just when they win.

I can reverse your reverse jinx....
Daniel is back and will get more and more into game shape, especially with the layoff til game 5. A Daniel at under 100% reunited with Henrik owned the PP tonight which has been a major weak spot for Vancouver thus far.
Schneider > Luongo. 1 GAA and something like .970 S%.
Kings PP sucks and is getting worse and worse along with Mike Richards who went from absolute beast in game 1 to something else in game 3.
Williams and King have gone full retard, and Voynov is not looking like playoff material so far.
LA's 4th line was their best line in a game with a chance to close out the series. That says something.
Kings have ruined the series for themselves. All they needed was to show up for one more night and they blew it. I really wanted the Kings to win and make history
He didn't sound angry or concerned at all. Said Carter played his best game of the series.
Sutter doesn't like the Three days off, At this point I don't think anyone likes it.
Brown and Kopi were not happy.
This was definitely Carter's best game, better skating, more shots and he was hitting guys. His line is being targetted as the one to shut down right now, it happens.
The pp was definitely better looking at times but they didn't score.
All these comments about Doughty being garbage are ridiculous. He's a horse out there. The biggest problem I see is the third line isn't good. The fourth line had a great game in spite of a couple of penalties.
Van got a boost from Daniel's return which got them a couple of PPGs and that was the diff.
Went to bed early- Hughson and Simpson with their Vancouver this and Canucklehead that are as bad as Steigerwald and Errey for the Penguins. Totally bad night for hockey. LA plays well on the raod; hopefully they will do so on Sunday and put these guys out of their misery.
The Kings played a very good game last night -- this time though, the bounces went Vancouver's way instead of LA's. There's a reason so few teams have come back from a 0-3 deficit - it's darn near impossible to do. The Kings will take this series.

Agreed, but the chances of a Sedin being suspended are miniscule. But there's no question that it checks all the boxes on Shanny's checklist - unsuspecting/defenseless player, targetting the head. The jerks on CBC were actually chuckling about it - if the roles had been reversed, they'd have been sentencing Brown to death by firing squad.
two keys to the game:
Schneider: played a very good game. he kept VAN in it early and afterwards his team rallied. it easily could have been 2-0 or more at the first break. Quick won game 3 for LA, Schneider won game 4 for VAN. if he hadn’t stoned the Kings after Kopi’s goal in the 1st the series is over.
LA’s passive play: the 2nd and 3rd period they played entirely to passive and tried to rely on their counter attack to score. they forgot how they won the first two games of the series. playing up ice and being aggressive on the fore check. last night instead they sat back and ultimately they let VAN control the flow and tempo of the last two periods. instead of playing on VAN’s end of the ice, they played scramble mode on the LA side of the ice. instead of being up ice causing turnovers, frustrating VAN which lead to penalties, which lead to goals they sat back and let VAN play their game. for this i hold Sutter and the team leaders responsible, between the 2nd and 3rd they should have made this correction.
4th line: other than Fraser and Nolan’s bad penalties, the line played well and gave the team a spark many times. the top two lines were held in check, while for once VANs top line went to work.
game 5: LA has to get back on their horses and play the game up ice. frustrate VAN into taking penalties like game 1 & 2, cause turnovers, etc. play more like game 1 and 2 and not like game 4…..this series is over.
what’s the odds of Shanny reviewing and punishing the sister for his drive-by elbow of Brownie?

Yes, but it sucks more for the team who won the last game.
I'm curious, do most people think that? I kind of had a different outlook, the break more benefits the team who is down 3 games to 1 in the series. It's a lot easier to look at it as "one game at a time" when the games are so far apart. I think the Canucks could use this to eliminate the big picture, and just give it their all for the next game.
I understand the counter argument: momentum. I think with them being the home team for next game, they should get all they need when they skate out onto home ice.
My personal opinion: this series goes atleast 6. I realize I'm thinking ahead a bit, but it's just a prediction.
I have a feeling we might see Clifford replacing Penner for game 5.
I would ratehr him replace King.
Not sure why LA didn't play physical last night. They stepped it up a bit after the Sedins gang ***** Brown, but they need to play these guys tighter.
Hopefully we bring in bernie to help our PP out in these three days off.

I think it benefits the team that it most banged up. The kings have injuries to our bottom 6, that this may help out.
If the sedins are not 100% than this will help Vancouver more.
It's still a huge mountain that the Canucks have to climb to win the series, but I have zero conifidence in the Kings at home. They need to win game 5 because I don't see them winning game 6 (they've lost the last 2).
2-6 at home in the playoffs overall. 2 goals in 2 games at home this season.
Kings must win Sunday. They play much better on the road and I don't want to see a game 7 in this series.
I know it's a moot point but I keep wondering that if had been brown who swiped at a sister when they were down what kind of reprocussion he and the kings would have faced. Not even from the NHL but from the other Canuck players. I think the Kings dropped the ball on their reaction here. Very Buffalo Sabres esk.
It's hard to still feel positive. The Canucks have made the changes they needed to make to solve the Kings by game 4.
What changes can Sutter make to now solve the Canucks?
Schneider is playing now like Quick played at the start of the series. If Schneider can't keep this up for 4 games the Kings will win. They had 40+ shots on him, the Kings played a decent game and don't really need to change much. I wouldn't say that the Canucks "solved" the Kings, just had the bounces go their way this time.

LA needs to reassert their aggressive forecheck. last night they played to passive after kopi scored. they have to change that, or they will let VAN dictate the game
The last two games Sutter has been matching Richards line vs Kessler's. In Vancouver AV controls this and it likely will not be the case. However I think this maybe a positive. Kessler is know as a great two way forward and him not being on the ice against the Richards line could create more offensive room for Richards and Carter. It will likely mean that Kessler will face Kopi. Kopi Brown and William will need to find a way to sustain their offense.

I wonder if no one on the ice really saw it, since it was a bit removed from the play. I actually thought they seemed to respond to it after, though... things got really heated for a while and our players came alive.

I'm not sure anyone can answer that question. I'm not even sure the question gets answered no matter who wins Game 5. It's not as if long or short breaks are always in favor of the team that did X, or the team that did Y. One team will win in a set of circumstances, and the next time it happens the other team will win in the same exact circumstances, but just playing in those circumstances from a different point of view. It's hardly a science, it's hockey.
In the end, the break will be said to benefit whoever wins(as the W and L are all that matters), and even then, you really can't be sure if the break or the circumstances leading up to the break were any sort of determining factor in the outcome, no matter what it is. Although the debates about the outcome and what made it happen will go on endlessly.
