OK, I am an attorney so I should be able to figure this out.
The rule says that if the clock starts late, and there is a goal before the play is stopped, assuming it is pointed out to him, the ref is supposed to get with the timekeeper and video guy to tick some seconds off the clock and adjust the time of the goal. In a scenario where Boston had scored in the last five seconds there, the ref following this rule would have had to say the time of the goal was -3 seconds or whatever other negative time, and that's not logically possible I don't think. So I think the rule suggests that there are only two possible courses of action--a do-over, or the goal just not counting at all. However, it doesn't actually say that--it just suggests it. All it actually says about this situation is that the ref's decision is final. So the ref could have just decided that it counted, and then it would have counted. But I don't think the ref would've done that. But the rule doesn't seem to prevent him from doing it.
Where is this thought that Erskine played well coming from? He destroyed Krejci at the end, but was garbage otherwise. Don't really blame him for the 3-on-1 goal, but he was terrible against his man in single coverage and had multiple awful turnovers (including an offensive zone one that killed a great possession and led to an odd-man rush for the Bruins). I don't want Erskine anywhere near the ice.
Didn't see that one coming. Not at all. Very nice.
really? i fully expected a return to game 1 and 2 where the caps were deep in the rope a dope. winning or losing was on the edge, but i expected the game to look a lot like that.
I thought Erskine had a good game. I saw no rust. He played his minus well enough. Loved his hit on Krunchy. Why can't Sarge do that? Herpes
Beagle had more TOI than Ovi just to explode some heads. 5BS. You need 4 lines to make a nice run, and rope a dope much of the year may have been preparing our 3s and 4s. Riding our stars in the past may have led to them getting injured. Do you want Ovi and Semin blocking shots for the entire 3rd, and would they?
So people get butt-hurt over our G3 GDT, and they use the Boston GDT. They have like 4 pictures of jerseys. Seriously, there is certain people on here that are just ****ing jackasses and it amazes me their position.
Caps will win tonight. I just have a feeling it will happen. There's going to be a serious rally around the Backstrom effect which will be felt from the opening drop to the final buzzer. I am very sure of this. I am not yet certified as a psychic, but I did correctly predict the result of game 2 on these boards. As in game 2, I will be putting my money where my mouth is.
Edit: My record so far at predictions on these boards, I believe, is 1-0, lest you think I just go around predicting Capitals' wins all the time. And the reason you see that 0 there is that I am probably a psychic.

I guess my tv angle did not show all the garbage. My impression was that he was decent. What say you about him compared to Schultz? Better, worse or the same?

A G3 GDT is one of the best we have to offer too...
