I would be surprised if any of our prospects get into a game in this series, I would hate to see them make a mistake that would cost Ottawa the series. But if they were to insert someone into the series game 5 would be the game to do that since it would not cost us the series. Hoffman or Stone IMO have the best chance of being inserted into game 5.

But if Ottawa can get through this series with NY it would be very interesting as to who the Sens could use for the next series. Silfverberg, maybe Alfredsson comes back, Stone, Zibanejad, Hoffman & any of the other black aces along with the guys who are sitting out this series like Daugavins & Klinkhammer. Go Sens Go.

My money is on Hoffman as well.
Stone is a natural sniper. And much much bigger than Hoffman. I don't think Hoffman automatically has a shoe in just because he was playing in the AHL. Most AHL players are there for a reason. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Stone!!!

Everyone on here who is going on about his skating, go back to 2010. His skating has improved tremendously and he is absolutely ready for a go at the NHL. I don't think it hurts this team to put him inl; excited to see what he can do if he gets his chance!

Remember, this is only year one and getting our top prospects some ice time is important too. Stone looks like he is more likely to have a future with this team than Hoffman.

I'd like to see what Klinkhammer could do, seems like he'd be a really good energy player that could keep the puck along the boards. If they were to play someone else, as much as I want to see Stone, I think Hoffman is probably the guy.

This team was in need of more skill with Alfredsson in the lineup. I wouldn't care if they gave Stone a look, because there is a serious lack of skilled forwards in this lineup.

Also think its worth noting Stone is a pretty damn good passer.

I just want to get like 4 goals in game 5 so I don't have to be nervous for the whole 3 hours I'm down for whoever can help score one of those goals.

Crazy like a fox. I hope Hoffman plays but Stone would be interesting. Both could certainly be an asset for the PP which have had some issues lately.

If Stone plays, I hope he fights Kreider.

Didn't the Bruins win the Stanley Cup last season with a lousy PP & very few skilled players? Didn't they win by kicking the **** out of every team that opposed them & win with their physical play? This team has played some pretty exciting hockey & has done more than anyone has expected to this point. I think they can beat the rangers & they can beat them with the guys they have. Would much prefer to see some of our prospects maybe in the first two games of the next series.

Yep, did win the cup. They sure as hell didn't win it by kicking the **** out of every team that opposed them.

They scored dirty goals and relied on their goalie to bail them out NUMEROUS times, but they didn't beat the **** out of anyone until the Rome hit in Game 3 of the finals. Hell, they were in danger of being eliminated by the Lightning when their 18 year old skilled center gave them a spark.

Toughness is damn important, but please stop trying to re-write history every time you talk about your little obsession.

Greening and Neil have done a great job i n front of the net on the PP, what Stone adds is a pair of skilled hands!!

If MacLean plays Stone it will be interesting to watch, the kid is huge, skates much better than most give him credit for and he can score!!!

This is a given. Does he score the game winner?

If Stone plays and proves that he can contribute, and Silfverberg plays next game and proves that he can contribute, then we will have considerably upped our chances of going far in the playoffs.

It certainly would be a nice addition to our depth if they can both play effectively. We would be adding the best player from the SEL and one of, if not the best player from the WHL.

His versatility is also another nice asset. He play play the role of sniper, playmaker or power forward. He also is pretty decent at taking draws.

I truly believe that with all the dead pucks{pucks that hit Henrik and flop dead i have counted several this series}whoever fits the role of dirty net presence best should draw in. While i have seen Stone several times this season i find he uses his size to plow through instead of slip and speed....the rhino not the graceful of creatures.

So can he fill this role???
