Why the black jerseys?

I'm sorry if this thread has been started before, but why do the Sharks wear the awful black jerseys during the playoffs? Are they trying to appeal to the Raiders' fanbase or something? The teal looks much better, and it's not like the black shirts have brought us any great luck in the past. Do they think it makes them look tough or scary? What looks scary is putting the puck in the net a bunch of times, not your jersey color.

Actually, this is exactly it. There was an interview with the coach, Joe Thorton, and a couple other guys talking about how they were huge Raiders fans.

it'd be nice if we wore teal so our lame goalie can see the puck coming

You should change your name to team black, since that's what we are now.

they just feel more confident in black. not that it shows, but that was their reason last year. guess they just stuck with it this year.

I am pretty sure Joe mentioned something about the black jerseys being less movement restrictive. For some reason, I do feel the teal jerseys to be a tad "bulky" feeling... maybe is just in my head. Not that it makes a hell of a difference..

could be, but i remember last season they felt more intimidating in the black armor so i think it's just a confidence thing.

the raiders fans thing is probably not too far off from the truth. i think there are a lot of fans in the region that think the black jerseys look a little "harder" or else it's just the fact that people tend to enjoy wearing black around town over teal.

I like the black jerseys but it'd be cool to see the crowd all in teal.
