Way to go Preds! Great win tonight. Rinne has been phenomenal this series. If he keeps that up they have a good chance at the cup

First team to advance will get them a nice rest before the start of the next series. Good job guys! You earned it.

Great series from both teams. Lots of respect going both ways, not a lot of cheap play either which was refreshing considering how a lot of other series have gone. Two teams just playing hockey and it was a joy to watch. So proud of the Preds right now. Much respect to Lidstrom, Datsyuk and Zetterberg, awesome players for a long time. Glad I got to see Lidstrom on so many occasions in person. Not every day you get to see one of the three best defensemen of all-time come into your arena as much as he did. Hope he sticks around for another year or two.

Glad we finally got over that hump as a team and a franchise. Next hurdle is getting out of round 2. Enjoy the night everyone.

Congrats Preds fans! Feels great to eliminate the Wings doesn't it after all the past series eh? You guys look dangerous... Best of luck. Rinne top goalie in the league imo.

Cheers from a Sharks fan

The best part about this...I will be able to come see a playoff game. Will be in town from may 5th thru may 13th. Bound to have a home game in that period of time

Congrats Preds fans! If Vancouver manages to get out of this hole, I'll be very afraid of facing you guys in future rounds.

Worth the possible infraction, can we close this thread now? I'm done talking about the Wings.

cue Wings fans for the next several years... "We were old and on the way down, you beat the worst Wings team, still not rivals"

I want to congratulate you folks and your team for winning the series against the Wings. The Predators slowly and quietly suffocated our team and I give them credit. I do agree with Trotz that we haven't seen the best of Nashville yet. If you guys keep playing strong and building on the confidence and "magic" the sky's the limit.

Man, hats off to some guys that we didn't expect to come up so big but did.

Josi was a star shutdown guy that series.

Kevin Klein looked like a freaking superstar.

Boulion even played solid for the most part.

and man what about Bourque????

Way too drunk to make a legitimate comment on the game. I'll just keep it simple.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Feels Goodman!

Josi was dominant all night. Loved his game.

Wooooo!!! Out of the 1st round again, let's take the 2nd now. Hopefully this shows Suter we have what it takes, and he re-ups long term, and maybe beating the Wings in the playoffs can be an annual tradition.

All Hail The Mighty Central.

Preds owe the Wings a debt of gratitude. You become the best by battling the best. Hopefully this might signify a little bit of a changing of the guard though.

Babcock gave a big credit to our depth, in his words we have 7 top 6 players ( not counting Bourque) and very good 3 center in Spaling.

I would also like to discuss this but I think that's for a different thread. Go Preds! How about Josi? Dude's a stud. And now hopefully Gill will be ready for round 2. Man how awesome is it to beat the wings in 5 without a guy like Gill? I'm ready for round 2 already!!! Just need Stl. and LA to wrap up their series' so they can face each other and we get the phx and chi winner.
