THE MATCHUP
2012 EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTERFINALS
GAME #5 - 4/21/2012
@
(2) ____________ (2)
7:00 PM ET
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN - NYC, NY
MSG | NBC SPORTS | CBC, RDS
QUOTES TO NOTE
Any time you have a lead, you don't want to lose it. But it doesn't matter talking about it anymore.
- Brad Richards
We just have to go out and do it now, play the right way. It's pretty open. We're determined to win this.
- Henrik Lundqvist
I’m encouraged with the team, I thought we played better minutes tonight. It’s frustrating to lose in OT, but there are some good things.
I still think we need some more guys involved.
- John Tortorella

I'm confident for whatever reason. Think they're gonna come out strong and the crowd will be into it big time.

its obvious that the rangers actually wanted to lose game 4, so they could win game 5 and then game 6 in Ottawa to pull off the ultimate troll job on all the Ottawa fans.

Boyle, Strålman & Anisimov lead the team in scoring after 4 playoff games with 3 points each. Hardly the names expected to be there. Nor should they be. Giant wakeup call to the other 15 players on the team to Step the fugg up and bring it tonight offensively! Let's do this, LGR!!!

if you get a chance check out what feds had to say, he basically said we're not playing our best and we are not playing our game...i would expect them to get back to that tonight!

If we continue to play like we've done we might get run over tonight if Hank doesn't stand on his head.
3 humble requests:
Be better than the opposition team.
Show more heart.
Play harder.
Ps. Why didn't we get the face off virtuoso, the penalty killing, hard working, good in front of the net - Konopka instead of Rupp who's pretty irrelevant out there. Ds

As close to a must win as I would like to experience this early in the playoffs.
Just win.
