Think game 4 was being too lax and then this game was definitely how the Flyers should of reacted, even though they lost?

Yup. I hope -- and think -- that's how the guys in the dressing room feel, too. Just let the Pens score the first goal of Game 6...

Seriously, if this "noon thing" is for real and they don't come out with their hair on fire on Sunday, they don't deserve to be here.

Here's what I'm thinking.

Games 1-3, we had infinite intensity since we were always behind, and concerned.

Game 4 we breathed a sigh of relief, lost the intensity, and got our ***** handed to us.

Game 5 was a snap back to reality, but impossible to replicate the killer instinct since we were 1) away, 2) still had games in hand and 3) still weren't worried.

Game 6...they're back, we'll play intensely, I've expected this since post-game 3. If game 6 goes the other way, I'm concerned, not yet. Flyers are and should feel threatened, that's a good thing.

We are winning on Sunday.

BOOK.
THAT.
****.

EDIT: One thing to remember. This team has been incredibily resiliant. Like all season. When things start looking bleak, when they starts to be some doubt what happens. They win.

Love JVR getting tag teamed by Orpik and Letang at the end and no call. Swallow your ****ing whistles when the Penguins are ahead. Got it.
Or maybe score an even strength goal which they haven't done in a while...

Even-strength is a problem. The other problem is keeping Timonen, Carle, and Coburn fresh.

Bill Meltzer thinks we should go 7 D

RT @billmeltzer: Actually, as I think about it, perhaps Flyers should try Lauridsen for his size. Need another big body with NG hurt and Kubina ineffective.

Gustafsson might need to get 15 min if Kubina is playing less than 10 min, and Lilja...well, nobody really knows.

Looking at the pens goals, all pretty darn good shots, we couldn't hit those corners tonight.
Well done.

I'm not so sure if I'd like Laviolette to go with 7 d. I'd rather see Manning in there over Lilja, though. Even if playing two rookies on d, might be a bit too optimistic.

Timonen-Coburn
Kubina-Gustafsson
Carle-Manning

maybe?

It kind of sucks, but with Grossmann, Meszaros, Pronger and Bourdon out, it's tough to get even two solid defensive pairings. Of course, it would help if Kubina could play as if it was, say three years ago. Coburn, Timonen and Carle will have to play plenty of minutes, regardless of how we put down the pairings on paper anyway.

Lilja is ahead of Kubina on any depth chart. Doesn't matter if Lilja is bad, Kubina is worse.

Could be. I have some hope that Kubina can regain some semblance of his former self though. Lilja, not so much.

Don't see that, Kubina is hurt and is worn down. He's toast. Lilja doesn't have much of a former self to return to, so at least expectations were low there

I have looked high and low searching for any info on Kimo. His last shift was late in the third when he took a hit behind the net from Cooke. He was real slow getting up and looked like a knee or leg injury.

This was his last shift of the game...
http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreport...2/PL030145.HTM
15:14 (4:46) HIT PIT #24 COOKE HIT PHI #44 TIMONEN, Off.

He missed the crucial time at the end when we had our push (like we should have been playing for most of the game). I thought I saw him with like 2:00 minutes left but skated off holding his one leg up and went down the tunnel. I couldn't tell for sure if that was him as I couldn't see a number, but it looked like him...

he'd have to be dead not to play, he's that kind of player.

Look at the score sheet though.. He did not play after that shift. I was watching for him, because he got up in pain and told my wife I think he's hurt... Didn't see him again.. I'll check today's obits then...

Yup right on board with you and Amatuer Hour. We actually played very well that first period. Very very well. Hit two posts and still had the lead. They played like they wanted it. I think that overflows tomorrow.

I think lavy will bench Kubina. Guy hardly played and when he did they scored their 2 even strength goals.
