Ooh girl, you're angry when you're mad.

(And you know how I feel about your thoughts here)

The offseason has begun for 14 teams, and the draft hasn't happened, the open trade market is still closed, and free agency is still 10 weeks off. What exactly would be gained between now and July 1, or for that matter, between now and October 1?

Hey, an opportunity for me to visit Columbus again! It'll have been 5+ years since the '07 Draft. Nationwide is one of my favorite buildings in the league.

Somebody needs to calm down! We're all on the same team here! We just happen to see things differently. Some of us are sick to death of the losing culture of this franchise and the inability of the owners to see the root cause of it. To keep the same management team responsible go unchanged is unacceptable. A fan protest is the only way to maybe push the point across that we are fed up and don't want to put up with it any more. If you are protesting something, you want to get as much attention as possible and hopefully enough to wake up the people in charge that there is a problem here that needs corrected. I thought the event scheduled for Friday would be a good stage to garner a LOT of attention. ( still do!). But obviously folks on here disagree with me, ok, so be it! I am not going to organize it, I had nothing to do with the first protest, I was out of town. I'm not sure what you're agenda is. If you want to continue to wait for the current team to turn around without changes, great! But to label the people who are fed up with the total failure here as whiners is BS! To sit back and do nothing is asking for more of the same crap we've been putting up with for the last 10 years.

My lunch is at 9:20-9:50. When you work in a school, there is no such thing as "extended lunch"

What would Philly do? If done at that time, escort those protestors away from the Broad Street Sports Complex, forcibly if necessary.

Just a guess, but an educated one. I grew up a Flyers fan and still attend games there every season. They don't mess around and they aren't nice about it either. This is Philly. It's a much different world than Columbus.

It's a rowdy crowd, but you just don't cross Ed Snider and his group.

It reeks of Al Sharpton and Fred Phelps; that's why people have an issue with it. It's taking something that people are focusing on and attempting to twist it to make it about something entirely different, merely because there will be people and attention already there.

**EDIT** NM no worth it, but please take your protest post to their site and stop hijacking this one.

To get back on topic what does everyone think or hope the logo will look like?

It would be easy to just go with something like the Draft logo.

But I would like to see something that includes the cannon or a logo that is totally original.

Thanks Howitzer for getting the thread back on topic. I'm not the artist type, but my thoughts are that the star needs to be the CBJ crest star.

I hope they have some kind of live feed on the Jackets' site, as I (and I'm sure a lot of other local fans) won't be able to make it on a weekday lunch break.

Crowd at the announcement thing looks like a good turnout.

Sad to not see any Neon Green T-Shirts though

Stream Link for anyone interested: http://video.bluejackets.nhl.com/vid...id=DL|CBJ|home

Nice ovation for Gary Bettman, and only one boo.

Just wait until the Canadian media gets ahold of this....

The ceremony took longer than it did to think up the logo.
