I cant see Phoenix winning the series without Hanzal.
It is great we have won 3 so far. But realistically, we pretty much choked in three of the games with the last minute goals against. We are a little lucky to be up in the series. If not for Crawford gifting us the 2 OT goals it could be 1-3.
I won't allow myself to get too excited. I have watched the team find ways to lose a series when they were up 3 - 1 before.
100 Raffi heads ready for Raffi Fest 2012. We will arrive at the game around 5:30 Gate 5. If you want one please stop by. We are asking for donations to cover the cost of printing. $3 for 1 or $5 for 2. The 5 for 2 doest cover the cost...but it makes change easier!
And...
Anyone at the game tonight. We park in lot g - big red van (over by the scalpers) the outside of gate 5 until 6 pm. The at the top of section 121.
No matter what the outcome at the END of the game, I'm pretty sure the atmosphere is going to be CRAZY tonight. The anticipation, the excitement, the knowledge that it's a huge crowd...
The first two home games were rockin'. I can only imagine this one will be amplified X10.
Are there any giveaways at this game? I have my shirt and pompom ready to take to the game from the last two.
I can't wait to see the reaction from people about the Raffi heads at the game.
My predictions:
Tyson Nash:
"I LOVE IT!"
Chicago Fans:
"Do you have no soul?! Dude puts a star player in a stretcher and you joke about it?! Raffi is a goon and should never be playing hockey again. I can't wait for your stupid team to leave your stupid city."

That's one person from the BOCH group on FB.
Man I would so buy one and we're parking in lot g but I don't expect to be able to get there until 6pm maybe 5:50. I'll look for your big red van just in case you're running late.

That's one great thing about lack of corporate sponsorship and business STH: the fans who show up REALLY care about the game. Should be a fun one.
I hope Tippett had the troops ready for this one as winning this series in 5 just became more critical. Hopefully Tippett told his players to prepare for the worst after the end of Game 3.

Tippett's a smart coach. As soon as the NHL announced that they'd be "reviewing" Torres's hit, he had to know that Torres would be done for the rest of the series--at least--and planned accordingly.
Wouldn't be surprising to see the guys could rally around the suspension, actually. If they honestly feel Torres has been wronged--and I'd bet money that they do--they might just go like gangbusters tonight just to stick it up the rectum of everybody who's been screaming for his head.
I think it will be easy to get a Raffi chant going.
I went to Fry's this morning and the checker saw my shirt and said she's been watching all the games.
Then went to Sam's Club - guy in front of me in line wearing Vermette shirt. Guy at customer service counter wearing white Doan jersey. Everyone's excited.
I think the 25 game thing will really pump them up more than it does anything for Chicago. They already knew Hossa was out - knowing Torres got 25 games doesn't give any extra momentum. But for the Yotes to know that he's out 25 games, heck...they'll be all over 'doing it for Raffi.'
Casual chatter about the Coyotes is way up for me as well. Heard a few guys talking about the hit on the way to the parking garage @ ASU. They didn't know the names, just thought it was awesome.
Yeah, the other day, I got 3 positive comments on my shirt and another guy pulled up next to me at a stop light and talked to me because of the sticker on my car.
It has certainly been different this post-season than the regular season or even other recent post-seasons.
Plus, I don't constantly get asked if the team is still around.
lurker here guys. While on the subject of more people interested now in the team.
I was wearing my Doan jersey yesterday and a Latino man started to talk to me about the games and the torres hit. He said he wished more latinos played hockey, I told him Torres is mexican... he had the face hahahaha. This city is really paying attention now!
Sounds like things are looking up in terms of locals awareness of the team. It only took them 15 years to find them. A win tonight will do wonders for NHL hockey in Arizona, better than any advertising.
I'm worried that all of the Raffi chants and stuff will just be a distraction. If you listen to Tippett and player interviews, they're just refusing to talk at all about it.
