Take a breath and put things into perspective, folks. Right now, the better team in all four Eastern Conference playoff series is down, 3-2. Pens are > Flyers, Bruins are > Caps, Devils are > Panthers. We're better than the Senators. This is a really, really crazy post-season.
Don't blame Gaborik. The problem is SECONDARY scoring. It doesn't exist on this team. We are NOT offensively skilled.
Yes, exactly. Gaborik scoring more would help, but when the other team's top checkers clamp on Gaborik, there has to be secondary scoring to come through and pick up the slack.
Absolutely NO sense of urgency, even with 5 minutes left in the game.
This is my biggest issue with the team tonight. No desperation in the 3rd period. None. They didn't play a quality 3rd period at all. Did not force Anberson to make one good save at the end of the game. Looked like a regular season game in the 3rd period not a "must win" playoff game.
And the PP is an absolute mess. Costing us big time in the series.
Richards and Gaborik need to get their act together or we will lose in Ottawa Monday night.
Only consistent player in this series has been Lundqvist. Anyone who criticizes this guy needs a reality check. I've said it many times, and I'll continue to say it, only "star" player playing up to his potential. Everyone else has been a major disappointment.
This team as currently playing is not going to make it to game 7. They better return to form quickly or they are officially gone.
Best player tonight was easily Hank. Richards played well but nothing to show for it.
and I agree with Jonathan, Anisimov has looked awful all series. Dubinsky is offensively a no-show and you can't have that in your top 6. I can be almost certain they'll be gone in an offseason trade.
How about getting a goal scoree that isn't completely one dimensional, butter soft
, and useless when a game is even slightly physical?
Gaborik isn't butter soft at all. To even say that is laughable.
The guy has at least gotten good chances. We can't win a playoff series with one ****ing goalscorer. Sorry.

for being ROYALLY drunk, your typing is pretty damn good. im raising the bs flag on that one
I basically type for a living.. I proof read/edit, so I can type fairly well even when drunk/without looking, and I naturally stop and fix all my mistakes. If you go through the threads (woudln't actually wish that trip down memory lane on anyone) you'll see my posting get looser and looser though. Royally is obviously a bit of an exaggeration, but I'm on the tracks.

It's not what you implied, it's what you actually said. He didn't conflate your words.
How about get some additional scoring talent so that it isn't all on Gaborik? It's not like he's the only one who didn't put the puck in the net tonight.

True. It really does speak to the incredibly parity the league has right now.
and that's Hockey... it's all about getting hot and riding momentum. Often riding the hot goaltender.
No, that isn't hockey. Upsets happen, but not this many. Low seeds don't win championships. A bottom seed hasn't won a Cup in over 30 years. It's just a really crazy year in the Eastern Conference. This sort of thing almost never happens.
