Season's not over yet, FYI. I said it was in the PGDT, but that was emotions speaking. We have a game to play. Two games to play if we do the job on Monday.

That's all I got.
He hasn't coached a good series but where was this during the regular season?

First 9 games.

Gone for the next 73.

It was funny, too, because those same fans thought it was just a streak when they started winning consistently.

Does any of that matter if the Rangers still get bounced 1st round. By my count, that makes us no better than last season.

Like I said, I don't doubt that this team is getting better, but it's hard to be positive about that if they can't do it when the games are important. A first round exit disheartens everything I was looking forward to the next few years.

Dress John Scott, and have him adjust Chris Neil's attitude.

Hopefully, that is PC and acceptable.

He lost me this series. He's been badly outcoached in the playoffs again. I was willing to overlook it in past seasons due to the fact that the Rangers were a low seed and had big issues, but he's blowing a golden opportunity here.

Series is not over.

Everybody will love Torts when we win the next two games.

If we lose it's Tortorella's fault. If we win, it's because Lundqvist kept us in the game and the team finally score two goals, but Torts is good enough.

Tortorella's defensive coaching and Lundqvist got us here. Key goal scorers haven't entered the playoffs yet.

Not on the scoresheet, but its pretty obvious the Rangers have checked out. The signs were all over the ice and in the post game.

Torts refuses to adjust, and our scoring output has gotten progressively worse as Ottawa has adjusted. He keeps trotting Mitchell out there who was responsible for 2 of the last 3 goals. He's lost.

I know I'm new here and everything but I don't understand why we're acting like this series is over. We need to win 2 games in a row, it's not easy but we're a great team and it's very possible.

I'll admit it doesn't look good. Even if we win game 6, Anderson loves playing.in the garden. But that is what is going to make it so sweet.

Every team tightens up defensively in the playoffs. Ottawa is no exception. They have played great in front of Anderson, making it a very tough series. But we are just as strong defensively, and only need a few bounces to go are way.

Let's Go Rangers!

I can agree to an extent.

But where's Dubinsky? Where's Stepan? Where's Callahan? Where's Richards and Gaborik? None have been impressive. Those are our guns. Those guys have barely shown anything or nothing at all. It may be coaching and it may not. But why all of a sudden in the playoffs most of our guys become invisible? I don't think that's coaching when you prove it all year that you can compete with anybody.

It's not all Tort's fault. But I also wonder if the style of play simply isn't sustainable for 82 games plus playoffs. Other teams are ramping their games up while the Rangers just look tired.

After 109 points the whole team disappears pretty much proving that they can't do it in the playoffs, and are about to get bounced by the 8 seed, and we're horrible?

I don't think it's fatigue. I just think the playoffs made some guys no-shows. Our offensive players haven't ramped up there games. Our defense has been fine and Lundqvist is Lundqvist. It's scoring.

I don't want to sound like a ***** complaining about it, but Hagelin is missed drastically and he shouldn't have been suspended 3 games. I don't want to go into that, but the team misses him.

Anyone pretending that losing this series isn't a massive and embarrassing failure is deluding themselves. I fully suspect that if the Rangers go on to lose this series it will have a significant impact on their roster going forward.

I doubt it. We've had the same problems for years and Sather refuses to address them. We've had a **** PP since the 90's. It's been 12 years, still haven't done anything about it.

I think he reconsiders moving some pieces for Nash that were off of the table before. Like Del Zotto.

To the OP, don't ever bother looking for positivity out of this forum. I learned that lesson the hard way.

I would do that. Del Zotto is good offensively but he's shown total inability to run the PP. Stralman is better at it.

Don't ever bother looking for positivity being a 1 seed losing to the 8 seed....

There is absolutely nothing positive about our situation. Nothing.

It would be so awesome for the Rangers to have one of the top PPs in the league. The last time the Rangers had a top 5 PP was 1998-99 back when the Rangers had guys like Gretzky, Leetch, Graves, Nedved...
