Parise has a humongous ego.

The Devils were shutout by rookie goaltender Anders Nilsson from the Islanders in March who NEVER started an NHL game before. Parise gave the same interview. ''No disrespect to Nilsson, but we didn't challenge him enough.''

The next week he shut us out for 58 minutes. My blood is boiling, and I'm wondering what Parise's interview will say now. A minute 40 left in the game David Clarkson finds one small opening, and ties it. We get a PP within 15 seconds later. Marek Zidlicky fired one in, and we got the win. I was bummed I didn't get to hear the ''We didn't challenge him enough''

What irks me about Parise is if he thinks they didn't challenge these goaltenders why do they play so many games without challenging the goaltender?

Someone's gonna overspend on this guy. I'll miss him, and his 68 points, but I can't justify him at a higher cap hit than Kovy, and some people are speculating someone will give him a Malkin/Crosby contract. The team that's gonna offer him the most money is Montreal, or Carolina. One of those bottom teams. Though he will get healthy offers from successful teams.

Oh but I just can't help but point out that this was the easiest shutout that Jose Theodore has ever gotten. My Devils made sure of that.

So your team is now in a position to knock the Devils out but excuse me if I hope your team fails most spectacularly in the next two games. You know how it is.

I saw that Parise interview and Parise was being a smug crybaby.

I almost had a heart attack when some shmuck tossed a rat into the faceoff circle before the draw near the end of the game last night. I really hope some dumb ass doesn't cost us 2-minutes in a tight game 7.

We have a lot of lower-IQ fans.

Anyone have a link to the video where the experts were predicting Devils in 4-5-6? I can't find it anywhere.

Finnish Elite League has pretty much a zero tolerance against stuff thrown on the ice. One warning by the announcer and then they start to give 2 minute minors if people continue to ignore it.

They should just hand out the rats AFTER the game is over for free.
But ofc, then they wouldn't make any money...

The idiot who threw the rat into the face-off circle was a Devils fan trying to cause a minor penalty. He was thrown out of the arena.

It's clear that some idiots don't get it (or more likely don't care) and the rats after goals were ticking me off. I partially blame the Panthers for selling the rats at the arena.

It was rather funny to see the dozen or so rat-collecting skaters the Panthers dispatched after every goal to avoid a penalty. They did a good job of quick cleanup.

Good to know the Devil fan was escorted out. Can the refs actually penalize the Panthers at this point? I don't see how seeing as this just happened. On top of that, Detroit never gets penalized for the octopus, though it's just one. Still, there's only a handful of rats on the ice, and at least they weren't previously alive. Wish the casual fan had more of a brain. Wonder how many are there just to throw a rat.

This doesn't make any sense, at all. I'm happy to have people rooting for us, don't care the reason.

I'm thinking he's crazy, because I'm judging it based on the attendance of Marlins games when they play at the Mets at the old stadium. It literally looks like a private practice open to a limited amount of spectators! I was ignorant of it, and figured the Panthers didn't draw that much basing it on the Marlins factor. I figured baseball was more popular in Florida than hockey.

I was surprised though, but nice building, nice folk, and the Panthers fans take more kindly to Devils jerseys in their buildings than the Forum in TB. Not as many dirt looks wearing the opponents jerseys!

Very affordable tickets too. I know the cost of living is way lower than up north, but I find the good seats in the building to be a much better bargain.

Thats exactly what I've been screaming watching the games. Its like they are afraid to bang him around. When hes in the corner going for a loose puck or carrying the puck, he is set up for a big hit and we dont touch him. I really want to see someone, preferably Jovo or Guds just have him lined up in the corner with the puck and just ****ing unload on him. I hate Kovalchuk and would love to see him get flattened in the corner.
