Very good period defensively. Even though a lot of time was in our zone they kept everything to the outside. Gus looked very good. Carle was also damn good.

Pens looking a little frustrated at the end there. Great period by the Flyers, I just hope they keep this up for the 2nd and 3rd.

keep it up, I would love for them to score the next goal but I will be happy if they win 2-0.

Neal just elbowed Jags in the head. That **** is not cool. I can't wait until next season regardless if the outcome of this round so the Flyers can just start leveling people

Best first period we've played in awhile. Giroux is nuts. He has shown up for every game thus far.

Guys i don't even know why you are crying about what happened at the end of the period. I'm sure Jagr will laugh at that and tell you he has seen worse earlier in his career.

This, I saw Gus playing against Malkin and Crosby multiple times in that period and I was shocked at how well he did.

Great first. Need to replicate that in the second. I can't believe the last powerplay didn't convert. Hartnell and Simmonds whacking it in mid air.
Yep.. At the end of the period, Jagr was checked by Orpik along the boards.. then Neal came across with an elbow

refs and missed calls aside, dont these dirty players with there dirty headshots and cheap *** play realize that the entire hockey world is watching? i know you get into a certain mindframe in big games and you want to do what ever it takes to win and you want to punish your oposition but come on. im only one hockey fan but i used to respect neal to a certain point but now hes just a piece of trash bum that hasntdone crap with his career other then riding shotgun with penguins stars, ill puthim down on the same list as rob brown and the other bums that alone do nothing, in my opinion.

His skating has allowed him to keep up with them. When Kubina was out there the last game/two, he was getting destroyed by Malkin and Crosby. Lilja also cant skate as well.

The only thing I dont like by Gus are those pitches he makes. Sometimes they are good, but other times he chooses the wrong time to pitch.
