That might be the worst 1st line I have ever seen for a playoff team. Maybe even for a regular season team.

Kreider on the 2nd line? Getting 2nd line minutes?

I need to see it in order to believe it.

It's like with leprechauns. They're real when you consume vast amounts of absinthe. That's right, all you need is a few bottles of absinthe and LSD.

You selling?

At least if I am on LSD when the Rangers are losing, the team will turn into elephants. I can pretend I am watching the circus.

I'm predicting 2-4 minutes of ice time. Prove me wrong, torts.

You have a better idea? We're about to be eliminated.

It seems from most of these posts in this thread it sounds as if this Ranger team on offense is a bunch of High School players.. sheesh...

This team was 13th in the NHL is goals scored throughout the 82 game NHL season while playing a shut down tight defense first system. That is impressive considering this is not a run and gun type system.

They are just running into a hot goalie in Anderson who is carrying his team and making the clutch saves at the clutch moments.

The series is not over.

13th in goals and one of the teams dead last on the PP. Their offense is a disaster dude. Ottawa advances, watch Anderson get lit up in the second round.

If I had time, I'd photoshop TORTS' head onto a CLOWN body. Just for Dorado.

does anybody else sometimes think to themselves that if they had like 10 minutes before the game to talk to the team, they would be able to at least get them fired up to win a ****ing game? maybe it's just me.

No.

A pep talk is not going to help. John Tortorella is not Kurt Russel in Miracle.

Hell he isn't even Gene Hackman in Hoosiers.

Rangers played their best game of the series in game 5, despite the loss. You don't want your goalie forced to be that good.

I don't know man. I think I could pull it off. Of course we'll never know. Or bring in all the players Moms and Grandmothers (In Callahan's case) and just have them look really sad and say "Can you win for us please? Don't make us cry." Something along those lines.

I know I am going to get flamed for this but ya know what I am getting tired of:

Every year that disabled cop from Mcdonald extra effort award always makes those bold statements.

I respect the hell out of that guy, but stop it with these arrogant proclamations. He does it EVERY YEAR!!!

How about just "play your heart out or something?"

I am just venting now, pay no attention to me.

Flame away.

daydreaming line combos with a coach like Torts is a fruitless endeavor, because the team needs to be up 6-0 for him to stick with the lines he rolled in the previous practice.

At this point, I wouldnt be surprised if he had 20 different line combos before game 6 is over.

Sometimes it works. most of the time, it doesnt.

I blame this stupid ****ing organization for painting "Stanley Cup Playoffs" on the ice in game 82. And then NBC building a god damn Stanley Cup in Times Square.
