Outstanding game by the 3rd and 4th lines tonight. Not that the Kopitar and Richards lines didn't play well, but Sutter had faith in all of the boys and it paid off in a big way tonight.

Keep it going Quickie. There may be a big trophy of a maple leaf on it in your future.

Congrats on winning a round in the playoffs. Hopefully you guys can build on it and go on a run.

Thanks so much for getting rid of those vile, foul, Canucks.

Nice to see Stollie get the winner too.

Congrats on the win from a long time Canucks fan. I had LA winning this series in my playoff pool. Reasons- Quick, Doughty, Richards, Mitchell and Sutter- and Luongo. You have a great team. Good Luck in Round 2.

What a game. You have to love a game where the goaltenders are standing on their heads and we still find a way to win. Bring on the Blues.

Talk about perseverance. The first period was excruciating to watch as the Kings survived the period by only surrendering one goal. It seems that the Canucks experienced their own "Frolov" moment which turned out to be the turning point for Vancouver in Game 4 in 2010. For those of you who want to relive that painful memory, here you go:

Doughty's ability to rush the puck uncontested also brought some life back into the team. He drew Schneider and a lot of sets of eyes in blue sweaters to him, leaving Brad Richardson open for an easy tap in to an empty net. And from that point on, the Kings seemed to dictate the play.

When I saw Hamhuis turn over the puck, a lot of thoughts were rushing into my head. First of all, I was hoping the ref sure as hell were not going to be suckered into calling a tripping penalty, and thank the Hockey Gods they saw Hamhuis's blatant attempt to draw a penalty.

Then I see that Jarret Stoll and Dwight King were in on a 2-on-1 with Salo defending the pass. I just hoped that Stoll could get it on net and at the very least it would result in a mad scramble from a rebound, because we are all aware of where most of Stoll's shots end up.

Schneider was caught cheating a bit as he was also thinking pass and left a nice hole open for Stoll to shoot at. Credit to Jarret for finding the hole and burying the puck. He is our new Gary Shuchuk.

Now where is that silly Canucks fan who claimed to be 100% on his "comeback predictions?"

I personally think that we should refrain from referring to the man as "stool" until at least the 3 minute mark of game 1.

OMG my feelings right now ..I just finished watching the game.

..and what a game it was.

I think this is the first comeback all year after being down after the second if so well timed.
Got to get to work now but I would appreciate if someone could confirm if it was our first comeback.

Re Stoll's gamewinner, on the main board video highlight (from CBC??) one annnouncer said something like, "it took a turnover, a non-call (CLEARLY inferring that it could have been or even SHOULD have been a penalty)... and a great shot by Stoll to beat vanc...."

If anything, it should have been a delayed penalty on Hamhuis for grabbing Lewis' stick - but it wasn't being called

Lewis is the man for his hustle - and like you said, Doughty as well.

I must admit, if Luongo had played, the Kings would have won in regulation. Schneider was stellar.

Dude Lewis was balls to the wall on that last play. So much hustle....

Credit Dwight King too, who played that heads up and got himself in to make it a 2-1

Yes, Lewis was not a good first round pick there, but that was a helluva play by him there. Very few would have even tried that dive and stripped the puck cleanly like that. And his favorite whipping boy Brain Boyle has looked good with the Rangers and has 3 goals vs the Senators.

Kopitar and Brown were Murray picks too. Al Murray made some poor picks, but where would we be without Quick, Kopitar and Brown?

Actually welled up a little watching this. Kinda like a little girl.

I know its just one round but this means EVERYTHING to the Kings progression under Lombardi.
