Pretty confident in our chances, but this series is going to drive me nuts.
I was anxious and nervous throughout the first two games of the Van series, but a lot calmer through games 3-5 given that we had the series lead. However, against STL we're going to spend a lot of time watching tie games...which does not bode well for my nerves.
Quick played 3 games against the blues....gave up 1 goal.....if our best player is once again our best player we'll be on our way to the conference finals.
Not going to lie.... I don't cry often but tonight I did. This is my first 2nd round experience.
Gretzky era I was too young and preferred to play hockey in the back yard then watch the game. And the Deadmarsh era I was not around. So it feel wonderful. I am going to enjoy all if it win or loose.
I think the kings will fair much better against the blues than SJ did. Sharks allowed 6 pp goals, thats huge. If the Kings PK keeps up the solid play thats going to be a big blow to the STL offense. If only the kings could get their powerplay going. I say sit them in front of replays of the phili powerplays for the next few days.

I started to follow hockey after the Olympics in Vancouver. Hockey is not huge in Norway, but the interest is increasing. LA Kings became my favorite team after I watched some games.
I see every Kings game, even if they are played in the middle of the night here in Norway. I have also started a Website for NHL News in Norway:

I think the Sedins exposed the Kings PK a bit, but the Blues do not have the kind of skilled playmaking exemplified by the Sedins. The Kings will be staring themselves in the mirror. Size and grit vs. size and grit. The one guy that kinda worries me outside of their top players is Andy McDonald.
Bring it on Blues!!!
This will be the Black and Blue series. Both teams will be very physical.
I think the Blues are the bigger team and they play heavy.
We will need Clifford in on our 4 line.
Who should be scratching since Richardson is playing so well?
Penner or Carter? Penner is slower than Carter but he does checks from time to time. Carter is way too soft for my taste. If it was up to me, Carter will be seating a few games just so he knows this is playoff and you need to finished all your checks.
I'm glad Sutter's our coach for this series. He actually took a team to the finals during the dead puck pre-lockout era! But damn Hitchcock won a cup during that same period!

Andy McDonald, you really got to watch him. He is small but very shifty and fast. That being said, it will be interesting to see how he handles how physical this series will be.
This is going to be one of the most physical playoff series in franchise history, not going to top the Toronto series obviously but it will be close. I saw these two teams play towards the end of the season and it was the most physical game of the year by far.

Guys, I believe whoever wins this series will eventually win the Cup. Because who's round 3? ..... the Preds or Yotes? And then what about round 4? ..... the defenseless Flyers?
