Which players do you think will be on the block after their playoff performances?
I'd have to say Marleau, possibly even Pavelski for San Jose.
Could Vancouver be in a big enough panic that they consider trading Kesler and Luongo?
What about Pittsburgh? Is it time to bring in a shutdown defenseman and a better backup?
We aren't trading Kesler unless we're getting a similar center in return, we also have to make a decision on goaltending.
Kesler stays, Luongo or Schneider gone, I'd trade Luongo, not because I'm off his bandwagon, but I think long term Schneider is better long term and if Weber becomes UFA we'll need cap space.

I think Vancouver is definitely going to try and get rid of Luongo. As for Marleau, I think San Jose would like to trade him, but because of his contract's no trade clause, I don't think they will be able to.
-Dubinsky without a doubt
-I'd like to deal one of Staal or MDZ for a right handed dman of similar caliber
-I'd also like to trade Stepan. He is a smart player, I just personally don't like his lack of foot speed. Even if the player we acquire is similar caliber, I'd just prefer someone a bit faster.
-Anisimov could also be dealt

One goalie is gone is Vancouver I think, not sure which, Kesler is a wild card for me, if a team offers up enough for him, he is gone.
San Jose I think would like to move some pieces of their aging core, but thats it, they are aging. They are probably more valuable to the team than what they could get in a trade because of their age (and some have NTCs).
Detroit is going to have a large enough shake up as it is with possible retirements and Stuart heading out West, they won't be trading anyone, maybe trading for someone though.
Pittsburgh needs to get a defenseman somehow, they I think will try through UFA first, but if they don't like who is available, Staal may be the only expendable forward who could fetch a good enough one?
Chicago just needs a goalie and they are fine. If they have to trade for one, I think it is a forward, but unlikely to be Toews, Kane, Hossa or Bolland.
If Rangers lose, I think they should just stay the course and don't do anything big, they still have a lot of young defensemen, one more year could do wonders there.
If New Jersey loses, I don't think they can do much since they will be so focused on trying to sign Parise, also with all the financial troubles...who knows.
About 75% sure one goalie is gone in Vancouver. They don't need both of them and it seems like they're done with Luongo. I'd see TB as the biggest option, as he probably has the biggest chance to waive for a FLA team.
There is no way Kesler gets traded unless they get an upgrade at Center for him
And since it seems like a lot of Vancouver fans say he is the best #2 center in the game, that would seem to imply he is only traded if they get a #1 center in return for him. Should be no problem since the leafs have so many players to choose from in their quest for a #1.
I'm not saying it will be easy to get him from Vancouver, would take one hell of an offer. But what else is there for Vancouver to do if they want a shakeup? Could say Luongo is that shakeup, but Schneider still lost 2 of 3 games against LA. Although Schneider still played great, there wasn't any goal support. Kesler got 0 goals these playoffs. Last year I think was an anomaly in his goal count, this year is much more on par of what kind of player I see Kesler as in terms of goals in the regular season and playoffs. He will probably get around 10 more points next year than this, but his goal total I don't think will change much.

100% sure one goalie is gone and I think the question should be is Luongo done with Vancouver

What would the Rangers be looking for if they moved Dubinsky? Could see him as someone Burke would take a flyer on.

Gary Valk said he would be surprised if both goalies came to camp in Vancouver. He said if Luongo doesn't waive his NTC, Schneider is good as gone. He thinks after these starts in the playoffs, he would now want to be the starter. He felt Schneider would rather play 50+games elsewhere, rather then come to Vancouver as a backup .
If your Schneider, would you rather be a backup on a contender or be a starter on a team that is at the bottom of the standings? I'm guessing any goalie would rather play 50/60+ games in a season. Also, if he feels he's a great goalie, then he might feel he could turn the bad team around. Money comes into play as well. As a starter, he will get way more money then being a backup for the Nucks. I hope the Jackets makes a phone call to Gillis at or before the draft. Or a call to his agent on July 1st.

Is there any way to get this guy to the Ducks in a deal involving picks and prospects? (Not a core player, yes that includes Ryan).
Van:
Luongo or Schneider (one of the two)
Kesler
Edler
Raymond
SJ (One of these guys, maybe two):
Marleau
Boyle
Pavelski
Pitt:
Jordan Staal
I'm curious to see what will happen with Raymond. I know he hasn't been the player he was before his injury, so what would he get in return, or does the team simply let him go via free agency by not qualifying him (doubtful).
Also, I think if Staal does get moved from Pittsburgh, we see him go with a defenseman in a package deal, so they get a better defenseman in return, with a lesser forward.
Who I hope will be moved out of Pittsburgh:
-Paul Martin
-
-
-
-
(in case it wasn't obvious, those - indicate just how much more I want Martin gone than anyone else following on the list)
-Brooks Orpik (but only if we can find a physical guy to replace him -- just one that doesn't friggin' take himself out of position going for the big hit all the time)
-Ben Lovejoy
-Craig Adams/Richard Park
-Marc-Andre Fleury (yeah, I went there)
Who will likely actually be moved:
-Ben Lovejoy
-Arron Asham
-Brent Johnson
-Steve Sullivan
-Matt Niskanen

Lol i was gonna put martin on my list buuuut was afraid of creating a **** storm
Kesler
Burrows Edler Ballard
Raymond
Booth
Maholtra
Luongo
Schneider
We are open for business
Edler played like garbage but we all know what he's capable of. Did his playoff performance bring his value down? If so, is it wise to trade him when his value is low? I would keep him but if I were the Canucks but I will gladly take him on either the Oilers or the Blue Jackets.
Ballard played decent. Did he bring his value up or will teams still consider him a salary dump and not offer much?

Why would the Canucks want to trade Edler and Kesler? It's not time to blow it up, just to retool. I agree Raymond could be moved and Luongo has to go at this point.
