NYR vs. TOR proposal for Nash

This was the rumored trade at the deadline:

Nash for Dubinsky + Erixon + Thomas + Miller + late 1st in 2012.

Im not saying Leaf should trade for Nash but I just wanted to know if these pieces were equivalent to the NYR proposal: Kulemin + Kadri + Ross + Biggs + early 2nd in 2012.
--------

Dubinsky = Kulemin = heart and soul player, averages 40-50 points(off year this year).

Erixon = Kadri = 2009 1st rounder, should have went mid round.

Thomas = Ross = 2010 mid 2nd rounder.

Miller = Biggs = 2011 mid 1st rounder.

Late 1st in 2012 = Early 2nd in 2012.

Howson turned down the Rangers offer, so really who gives a ****. Not only that you can't get Nash by throwing in a bunch of trash, which is what you are attempting to do. Not one thing in your proposal looks like a future substantial NHL player.

Why does Biggs equal a mid-1st rounder?

Kulemin a 25 - 30 pt player
Kadri. A player that can't cut one of the worst teams in the league.
Ross,Biggs and 2012 2nd rd pick.
As bad as i hate Nash spare parts at best won't get you him.
This is a classic bad Quanity for Quality.

I feel that your equasions generally are as vague as the "late 1st = early 2nd", but most importantly:

Moderator's NoteI don't see the point in comparing a hypothetical package to a rumoured (!) one, especially even that rumour says it has been turned down. The relevance is relatively non-existent, even for this board, and I'm sure there's a Nash thread around that would be sufficient. Closed.
