Nucks list is really only one of the goalies, raymond and AV and then looking for top 6 forwards... And a coach that isnt afraid to send messages to his star players...no way raymond and edler earned that ice time last couple games... I love edler but come on he needed some coaching or motivation.

There is no better defenceman in Vancouver than Edler and trading him because of a bad playoff series is major overreaction unless they are getting back another top pairing defenceman.

Are you his agent? I think he's had enough.

No there isn't. The Rangers aren't trading Stepan. He's had a lousy series offensively, but he was great for most of the year and has become a fixture on our PK as well.

I proposed this in another thread:

Kesler/Tanev for Stepan/Girardi

I agree with you on all accounts here, except I keep Staal and deal MDZ.

What would the Rangers be looking for if they moved Dubinsky? Could see him as someone Burke would take a flyer on.
Depends on what goes on in the off season. If we can sign Parise then Dubinsky will be gone for high end picks and prospects. If we dont we would want an upgrade in our top 6 for him. Im sure we would have to add something to the deal to get that player.

Honestly, no. If stepan is traded, its going to be with other pieces for a guy exactly like Bobby Ryan. He had a very good regular season, hopefully he can find something for the playoffs but then again i will say he came from college and has never played in an 82 game schedule and seems to not know how to handle it yet in his first full season. He has the ability to become a 1st/2nd line center. Speed may be his only downfall but have him for an offseason or two with Barb Underhill and he will be solid.

I see some Vancouver fans saying Edler. The Flyers will gladly take Edler off your hands if you want. We desperately need a top 4 defenseman that has the capability of playing top 2. He would fit perfectly here with that salary too.

Staal to Carolina for a package around Faulk or Murphy

Then trade McBain and Sutter for J Staal

I know it would never happen but would be pretty amazing to see

IMO i think we see Nash to the Rangers this summer
something like Dubinsky, Erixon, +

also Wiz is a right handed shot, just saying

If we really wanted to change team culture we'd make a trade for Staal based around Edler and for Weber based around Kesler.

really don't see how J.Staal is on the block unless he makes it clear he wants to move on or his contract demands are too high.

I don't think the Canucks move Ryan Kesler. However, does anybody see him as a fit with San Jose? Is there potential for a deal between the Sharks and Canucks? I know he and Thornton went head-to-head in the playoffs in 2010 and had some battles in the series, but I think he would be a good fit. What would Vancouver look for in return? Marleau? Pavelski?

If JVR became available, The Sharks would be all over it, I don't know if they have the assets though? What would Philly want for him?

Would nuck fans trade Luongo for Thornton or Lecavalier and then maybe trade Kesler for some help on the wings?

I guess nobody is completely untouchable, however this list looks more knee jerk to a disappointing playoff then an actual list of players that actually will be shopped. I could see

Luongo/Schneider - 1 won't be back

I wonder if a Pavelski for Plekanec deal could be possible. If San Jose shipped Marleau out for a tougher winger or centreman like Jordan Staal, that'd be huge. I just feel if Pleks can't pick it up this year in Montreal with the emergence of Desharnais, then I think we may be able to reep some reward for him, being a two way player like Pavelski.

It's possible that if the Canucks cannot find a suitor for Luongo (imo this is likely), they could just sign Schneider to a 1-year deal and try again at the Deadline and just run with a two starter rotation until then.

It's risky but they may have no choice.

the risk is you sour the relationship with Schneider and are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I don't think moving Schneider is out of the question either.
He's obviously the easier one to move and has great value.

Put an end to this one way or another and move on.

You do realize that not even Simmonds is in our top 9 right now so you could make the same argument for him being gone too.

As for whete JVR fits on the top 9 next year, we'll slot him in on Giroux's lw on the top line as Jagr is likely not returning.
