The series is over bro. Quit whining.

With that said, it's hard to argue that game 1 was tied up on a goal that was about 3 feet offsides. It's also hard to argue that luck is on your side when you are wondering around the corner of the rink in overtime and the puck just happens to hit off a few skates, land on your stick and your looking at an empty net.

With what I saw in the first round, unless the D Zone play increases dramatically, I never saw either team going very far anyway.

Try again next year, Pens fanboy. Maybe you'll get luckier.

So stoked right now. Flyers are definitely the more deserving team and played an amazing all around game yesterday.

The Penguins were outclassed and outplayed in every way this series. In fact, I'm not sure there was a team any LESS deserving than the penguins.

If, and it's a big if, they can continue to get good defensive and goaltending support like they did yesterday, this team can do it.

Coming in to the season, with all the changes, I wasn't expecting to get past the first round of the playoffs, especially if it were against the penguins. This team has now exceeded my expectations and I'm very proud of their accomplishments. Also, enough can't be said about how this team didn't pack it in when they lost player after player to injury (and not just any players, some of their best defensemen). Add to that, that Giroux entered the conversation for best player(s) in the game, it's just amazing.

After the final horn, Jagr sat down next to Giroux and held him in an embrace.

"I told him, íLetís go ride a bike and make sure we are ready for the next round,í " Jagr said with a smile. "He said, íLetís go.í Weíre moving forward."

Seeing him coasting last night on PK when Sedin scored, made me appreciate his trade even more.

Yeah I caught that....he played pretty poorly most of the game..the whiff in OT was epic though. Richards at least is still fun to watch..on the ice at least.

Briere's offside goal made it 3-1, not 3-3. The Pens could have shrugged that goal off.

But you never know. Bryz looked good today so he might have his confidence back.
Call me crazy, but I'm not seeing the offensive juggernauts in Boston, NY or NJ generating the same level of offense as Pittsburgh. It will be a completely different series and it should be much easier on Bryz (though obviously tougher on the forwards).

Don't even bother. They don't see it as their team just played poorly. It's because of some other factor out of their hands.

The fact that we put up 8 goals on them in games 2 and 3 and completely shut them down in game 6 is irrelevant because briere was offsides.

It also doesn't matter that Neal got only 1 game when hagelin got 3 for ONLY blatantly elbowing a player in the head, let alone the hit on couturier. Its ridiculous. They fail to see how many calls went their way as well, its about that one blown offsides and how that call won the series for us. It had nothing to do with Fleury or their defense or the fact that Claude Giroux completely out superstarred Crosby and Malkin.

and hard to argue that your best player, Neal, got nothing for head hunting Couturier & should not have played in the series after that.

don't tell me Torres' history was worth 25 games more than what Neal got for that [which was 0 for the hit on Couturier ]

oh im happy as a pig in poop with the trades.

but i still think it would be awesome to see a SCF involving so much Flyers players/history. instead of some other random opponent..

Yeah but the whole league has bullseyes and pin the tail on the donkeys of Crosby and Malkin. They should be escaping to that compound Bin Laden was hiding in..along with Kennedy and Neal..and Letang!

If we are so blessed as to have the Flyers advance to the Stanley Cup finals, I wouldn't necessarily want the Kings as the opponents, as I can just imagine Richards with something to prove over the trade.
