I facepalmed when I saw Carter do that last night. Maybe he doesnt score if he gets it off because Schneider was on, but man he looked like a tool when he did that. i really thought Vancouver was going to win after that happened.

I haven't seen the whiff, but can someone post a link (if there is one anywhere), or explain exactly what happened?

Jakob Silfverberg, he scored 13 goals in just 17 games as he led Brynäs to the Swedish championship. That is the most goals any player has ever scored in a single playoff year, the previous record being Daniel Alfredsson's 12 goals during the lockout season in 2004/05. He also took over the captaincy a few games into the playoffs when it became clear that Andreas Dackell couldn't continue playing. Silfverberg was also a part of the Swedish team that took home silver medals in last year's World Championship.

It remains to be seen how he'll handle the higher tempo and more physical play of the NHL, but he should be a good player for the Senators in the future imo.

It should perhaps be noted that there was another record broken in the playoffs here in Sweden this year. Bud Holloway had the most points in a single playoff year, getting 23 points for the runner-ups Skellefteå, surpassing Espen Knutsen's 21 points from the 1999/2000 playoffs. Don't know if there's a lot of talk about Holloway over in North America these days, but I doubt it. Knutsen had a few solid seasons for the Blue Jackets after the expansion, but those who rememeber his name these days probably don't do so for his strong play, unfortunately.

His value right now may be 2nd only to Giroux. He had a fantastic series, and can be a great player if he gets out of the shadow of the big two.

I'd give a slight edge to Neil. Looked like he petered out as it went on

Neil is underrated. I would love to have him on the Flyers. He probably will retire as a Senator.

I really like Neil. Always have. For such a devastating hitter, he's very honest and clean and always stands up for himself.
