I'm mad.

Also people being hard on Spezza but ignoring Alfredsson and Karlsson being completely invisible. At least Spezza generated offence. Good lord what else is new.

Hey Islanders fan here. Got to agree, the Refs. blew this game. The Queen is questioning if the league want's the senators to win?????? Guess he didn't notice all the really cheesy calls to put the Rangers on the power-pay that changed the momentum of this game . The refs. handed the Rangers this game. 5 on 3 in a play-off game on those calls????? Really???? Hope the Senators pull out the upset in game 7.

It's pretty simple for next game, stay out of the box. This team has played better 5on5 than the Rangers have this series imo..

Oh and I hate Tim Peel

ugh.
Neil fight seemed to give them some life. Said it before the game, don't really fancy our chances in MSG for game 7.

In hindsight playing Silfverberg looks pretty stupid.. I admit I got lost in the glamour of our most hyped prospect since Spezza playing tonight. But it was a completely unfair move by management to throw a kid into this type of environment from Sweden with only a pregame skate. Why couldn't it have waited to a possible game 7? Its not like we were playing a desperation must win or face elimination game.. Stone in my opinion played excellent Saturday. He was responsible and contributed with some solid hits. I'm not saying Silfverberg is never going to amount to anything, I'm just saying it was a bit unreasonable to throw him into tonight's game. He looked absolutely lost out there.

I'll admit I was shocked this morning when I saw all the tweets and posts saying he was playing. I though they'd hold him off until game 7 if necessary.

What do the Sens do with their lineup... Do they keep Silfverberg in? Honestly, he needs a bit more time.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Butler should be back in.

Greening - Spezza - Michalek
Foligno - Turris - Alfredsson
Condra - Smith - Neil
Konopka - O'Brien - Butler

Spezza had a brutal 2nd period, overstayed shifts on the powerplay and on the Kreider goal.

But that being said I thought it was a poor time for MacLean to send a message to the top guys. Alfie, MM and Spezza didn't see time on the first PP which is one of the reasons why I think Alfie was getting frustrated.

Hell, our record at MSG in this series is better than our record at home

I have no clue why he doesn't use them. I would've called a timeout right after the Richards goal to calm the kids down. Do that, and we probably escape to the third down by one and not two.

Agree agree agree. Some of the calls were weak, but the Sens were undisciplined. Not the same team that won three games in this series.

Indeed. Alfie's back, he doesn't need to do everything on his own. Just put the damn puck on net.

Keep Silf, he'll get over jet lag and have a couple more days practice.

Really like what I saw from Silfverberg tonight. Didn't play that much but he caught my attention when he did.

The level of whine by Rangers fans is unbelievable. Somehow they think THEY got the short end of the stick tonight. They even thought so before the 3rd period.

They got sloppy after the 1st. Definitely didn't deserve the win tonight. We basically reversed roles with the Rangers. Get up early and then stop playing desperate hockey. Stay humble boys, game 7 will be different.

Spezza was our best forward tonight btw. Easily. He created at least 4 great scoring chances that were just not converted on or blocked by Lundqvist, and almost brought us back into the game in the last minute nearly singlehandedly.

The rest of our stars were pretty invisible. Silfverberg looked really tired going into the third. Alfredsson was more angry than he was useful. Karlsson was pretty much invisible and our whole team needs to stop waiting and start shooting more.

We didn't play a 60 minute effort.

We let the Rangers take advantage on a 5 on 3 - fine, that's on the ref.

But then we let them score again. Against a team like New York you have to be defensively responsible and we simply weren't in the 2nd. We played a strong third period but weren't able to capitalize until too late - that's the disadvantage we face playing against one of the top tendys in the league.

This just in, Bill McCreary comes out of retirement. He will be reffing Game 7 with his assistant referee Tim Peel.

Personally, if I was MacLean I would have played Silfverberg. Most of us thought it was a brilliant move during pre-game.

Honestly, I'd come back with Butler in game 7. Dunno if I want Stone and Silf playing in a game 7. Of course, it'll be the first game 7 for a lot of our young'uns. I still have extremely pessimistic faith

He took a penalty that shouldn't have been called... Dubinsky did the same thing to Cowen and no call. This was the worst reffed game I've seen in a very long time.
