1. Thought that the Rangers got out of the first period only down one goal was huge. Home teams need to use the crowd energy and the momentum early. Starting early in the second, Rangers really took over the game
2. Speed of Hagelin and Kreider makes a huge difference. Sens had to be back more on their heels and Rangers had much more puck possession.
3. Rangers towards the end were getting a ton of odd man breaks. Need to capitalize.
4. Stepan looked so much more engaged and better. Having a second line that could be dangerous makes all the difference in the world. Anisimov towards the end also looked like a difference maker. Both of them need to do it again on Thursday.
5. The extra day to rest will benefit the Rangers more IMO.
6. I've been defending Dubinsky all season. No more. He looks awful, couldn't score on an empty net, looked like he couldn't even stay upright half the time. Unfortunately, his contract makes him untradeable for anyone of value except as a throw-in or a trade just to get rid of his contract.
He's been bad, but his PKing alone is huge right now

For the first time this season i got carried away after the first period. I was sure we were screwed. Didnt think we could score more than 1 goal tops. No way I thought we were coming back, and I was wrong.
The team showed some kick ass character, and proved me wrong. I am glad they did.
Cannot wait for game 7.

For now like them better apart, gives two different lines some speed. When you have speed, the other team can't pinch their defense so often, because they'll get caught in odd man breaks.

Wasnt Game 6 of that series the last ever bench clearing brawl? IIRC they changed the rules after that season. What I remember about Game 7 was Messier dominating and Turcotte scoring a goal in the first minute on a breakaway.
I was at the game and at the end of the day the Rangers were the better team tonight. I thought Ottawa was in control after the 1st period. The Rangers kept pushing their game and after the 1st goal to tie it up it started to turn a little bit. I thought Ottawa looked a little gassed.
The officiating again, eh? Sigh. It was bad all around. The Foligno call was more a reputation call because he has had a few of these this year. The last goal while in the context of the rules I don't think he kicked the puck in, the fact that he harpooned your goalie would have pissed me off , shoe on the other foot scenario. Overall, aside from those calls, I did not have a big problem with the refs. Of course, those were two HUGE mistakes.
I mentioned somewhere else that win or lose, Richards was going to be a key factor. He looked terrible in the 1st, especially on the PP. I mentioned to my brother " don't know why he doesn't just shoot the puck", well he did!
Kudos to Kreider scoring his 1st, must be a nice moment for him.

That series pissed me off because the Rangers controlled Richer and Stevens but were getting lit up by super scrubs Kevin Todd and former Ranger Zdeno Ciger (who Devils radio guy used to call "Cee-gar")
Gartner won us that series. Only time he showed up in the playoffs besides game 5 against the Isles in 1990.
In my opinion the refs were heavily favoring the Sens, even with that ****ing skate in goal what the ****. Missed calls galore. Rupp with the roughing penalty? Give me a ****ing break. All in all, I'm glad we pulled through and kudos to Kreider he got his first NHL goal in the playoffs no less.
