Love it. They are going to be a great opponent. Mad respect for them, they got respect for us. I think Rinne and our depth give us the series win. (knock on wood)

Coyotes fan coming in peace.

Congrats to making it to the 2nd Round for the 2nd straight season.

Looking forward to a great series here as it should be a real grind.

Have a good evening.

BEAT THE YOTES!

I'm jumpin on the bandwagon. I've said the Preds are the best team in the West for the past 2 months.

I predicted Preds in 5 over Wings and now I'm predicting Preds in 4 over Yotes. I think you guys will completely outclass them. Just limit the mistakes in your own end and they really have no offense. They can't create on their own but they will capitalize on your mistakes.

Good luck!

Preds in 6 on home ice. Not going to be easy, but I think our gritty / crashing goal tendencies are going to be essential here and something the Hawks didn't have. Smith may stop the initial shots, but there is only so much you can do against a whack-happy Hornqvist et al.

Any result other than advancing to the WCF is a disappointment to me. We are better in net, we are better 1-6 on defense, even with hillen or ellis, and we are better top to bottom as far as our forwards go. hell, our 5th line is better as well.

I think our style of play is much much different than chicago. we go to the net. we are bigger. we are faster. we have more skill. not to sound like one of the elitist types I hate, but I flat out think we are better than them in all areas.

I think they have an emotional letdown in game 1, they win game 2, we hold serve in 3 and 4, give them a feel good game in game 5 and close them out here in game 6.

Agree with all this. I'll be very disappointed if we lose now. If the Yotes beat us it better be because Smith was just unconscious all series long because if he wasn't and we still lose then the Preds didn't play the way they should be playing.

Obviously every team at this point is good but last year at this time we were playing Vancouver in the 2nd round. This year? Phoenix. What more could this team ask for? The first round has set the Preds up with a favorable road through the playoffs compared to past Preds playoff years.

Can't wait to get it started.

Nashville: G/G 2.83 GA/G 2.50 5/5 1.11 PP% 21.6% PK% 83.6%
Phoenix: G/G 2.56 GA/G 2.37 5/5 1.05 PP% 13.6% PK%: 85.5%

both are about equal on taking penalties and giving penalties.

If anything the Yotes resemble more the Predators of past more defensive than offensive. As for the playoff stats.

Nashville: G/G 2.60 GA/G 1.80 5/5 2.75 PP% 21.0% PK% 82.6%
Phoenix: G/G 2.83 Ga/G 2.00 5/5 1.10 PP% 9.1% PK% 94.7%

Nashville needs to keep the penalties down. No Tootoo, tell Weber and Gaustad to keep their heads. Nashville was #1 in Penalties but Phoenix was number 3

I'm really not all that afraid of the Yotes. They got their first ever series win and they'll have to go without Torres. I really think we have the team this year. I don't see us losing this series. Preds in 5 or 6.
