Must admit I was worried about tonight. Had a good feeling when old friend Dave Strader began announcing on CNBC.....not sure I could have survived another "Hawks broadcast" (man that Konroid in annoying)

Shout out to 2 critically important people who deserve mad props for the Coyotes success. Don Maloney and Sean Burke. One found a star in waiting who nobody else wanted, the other helped create the star that is Mike Smith!!
Feels so good to get out of this round. What a season, so many ups and downs, and now this. It feels great. Can't wait to experience round 2 for the first time. Way to go Coyotes!
I like Matt McConnell, though. Dave Strader might be better (he is one of the best in the business), but I think McConnell and Nash have better chemistry than Strads and Nash.

Sean Burke is the man. I don't know what his salary is, but the Coyotes have to find a way to keep him around for a long time. He has resurrected two different goalies' careers.
Out of Maloney, Tippett, and Burke, who do you think is the most valuable to the Coyotes' success? Pretty much an impossible choice. All three guys have done amazing things for this organization.
I have to share with y'all that I am a bit of a good luck charm. I followed the Coyotes closely from 1996 to 2004. In 2005, I moved out of state to North Carolina and did not return to Phoenix until summer of 2009 (during that time period, I had almost no access to the Yotes). Since I have returned, the Coyotes have ripped off three straight playoff seasons. I missed the entire Gretzky mess. That being said, props to all the Yotes' fans who endured that disaster and have the joy of experiencing the Yotes' success now.
While we are all happy, lets not forget what a cluster **** this game was before we got the 1st goal. I think we can all agree that Schlemko looked terrible tonight. I'm going to assume Aucoin was scratched to send a message. Lets put him back in. If Rozsival is seriously hurt, Stone deserves a shot. He was our best depth defenseman down the stretch.

Completely agree with you. Schlemko was in way over his head tonight. His best play came when he blocked a shot after he made a horrible decision to try to rim a puck where two Hawks' players were standing. IT led to a great scoring chance for the Hawks. I hate to be a party pooper on such a great night, but I hope Schlemko does not see the ice again during the playoffs.
I bet NBC exec's are just sooo elated that Nashville, Phoenix & St Louis are playing in round two. How bitter sweet if Florida and Ottawa also stamp their tickets?
I agree about Schlemko for the first 2 periods tonight. However, he stepped up his game in the 3rd and blocked some big shots. I think he needed to get his legs back under him.
