Yup, we should consider ourselves lucky if Girardi isn't suspended for trying to injure Michalek's skate with a dirty shied-block.

Hey Chosen, the call was border line, maybe, but the refs had clearly warned Foligno during the first as he had three slight "bump ins" with Hank. I think it was the right call under the circumstances.

No doubt. Then again, the roughing call on Rupp and at least three missed calls on Neil (tripping, interference, multiple slashes), were all pretty bad.

My favorite was that idiot laying on the ice as play carried on, then having the nerve to complain about an elbow...what a crybaby!

My take on the Foligno interference is that regardless of the Girardi hit, Foligno was on a collision course with Lundqvist, that he initiated and one that he never attempted to halt. He was hitting Henrik regardless of Girardi or any other Rangers' actions.

What was the Neil quote on Del Zotto?

it is called get meaner and start to muscle people out. The crease clearing or lack thereof is a large problem.

Hey, I really like Neil. Solid at what he does, but is a disgrace to the so called "tough guy" players. He should stop the acting or start playing soccer. Ridiculous!

It's also really hard to do in the NHL these days. If you get too "mean" then you get a penalty for cross checking or roughing or holding or whatever.

Defensemen have to get position and battle and honestly no one is going to win that battle 100% of the time. So, sometimes players are going to cause some trouble in front of the net and there's nothing you can do about it, just try to minimize how often it happens

3 shifts, 1:59 TOI for Bickel. It would be a big help if Eminger was ready for Thursday.

I understand, but there are still ways of doing it. Neil has been living in the crease. that has to stop. On ottawa's first goal, there were two players providing a screen. And getting mean may just be sneaking in cross checks to teh small of the back. Has to be done. Players cannot just feel comfortable in the crease.

Kreider had an awesome game. I knew he'd get better with more ice time.

Well it evens out the ridiculous. As when Prust clearly cross checked an ottawa player in the crease and was penalized. Than 5 minutes later after having served his penalty he is cross checked in the exact same way on the other end by one of ottawas players and nothing was called. I dont complain either way its playoff hockey. If it was up to me only rule i would have would be no breaking sticks over others heads...everything else goes...hahahahahaha...ottawa at the Garden thursday for their well deserved smack down. come an get it...LGR!!!!!!!!!!

Lucic is much dirtier than Neil.

Lucic would make a guy like Ulf Samuelsson look like a choirboy.

Lucic cheap shots or sucker punches should get a lot of hits on youtube, hundreds.

A lot of NHL fans have a love and hate relationship to dirty players, personally I find it a bit odd and bizarre. All of them very popular players within their own teams but hated outside.

It's not that fun anylonger when the clown injure a talanted player you really like.

You don't need 6 dmen. That is why Bickel is playing so little. No chance in hell Eminger is going to step in for game 7 and get more ice time than Bickel would get.

It would. The guy has been very solid for us in stretches of his stay here.

I'm not disagreeing. There were weak calls on both sides. Rupp and Gaboriks penalties were awful calls too

I'm gonna get this out there before it comes back to bite us...Richards has to calm down. He was begging for a retaliation penalty a few times last night.

I'm just looking for a way to better utilize the roster spot.

Eminger's been skating and was a possibility for last night. I can't see why he'd be out of the question later this week.

That one shift with Captain Cally and Steps where they cycled below the hash marks for about a minute was amazing...
