My god i was looking over the at the devils boards and they mad. They really really mad. I didnt realize what a fire storm this is turning out to be. Yormark kind of threw some gas on the fire with stupid twitter remark.

I kind of like this though. It ****s with the devils. It throws them off the task at hand. Its an excellent diversion.

I mean, sure, I'm sure there was a Devils fan or two throwing rats, but somehow intuition tells me that there were likely far more Florida fans throwing plastic rats onto the surface. Seriously, blaming Devils fans is embarrassing.

Panthers Somehow Blame Devils Fans For Ruining Rat-Throwing Tradition

http://deadspin.com/5904348/panthers...wing-tradition

*I've duly noted that some of you have acknowledged the ridiculousness of the Panthers' accusation so I'm not lumping everyone in
Seeing as how a Devil fan was escorted out of the arena for tossing the rat prior to that face off, obviously they are throwing em. Certainly not every case is a Devils fan, however. Now, they aren't being put so easily into anyone's hands.

Tradition ruined? Not close, and they weren't sold in the arena in 96, people went out and found em. As it should have stayed.

This likely also takes away blame from Panther to a degree. Smart decision, didn't like that they were sold there anyway.

Panthers fans are definitely 95% responsible for the rats on the ice during play.

That is the ONLY thing the NHL was upset about. the fact that people anticipated a goal would be scored and began throwing rats only for it not to happen and the rats to disrupt play. This can't happen and its up to panther fans to make sure the bandwagon jumpers know the deal

That's where we got ours too. They have all different sizes. The lady who runs the store is from Ft. Lauderdale and she said she has plenty of rats for Panther fans! Here is their facebook page:

They will ship too.

ETA: I'm glad they decided to stop selling them at the arena for all of the reasons stated. And I'm not going to blame Devils fans...I'm going to blame the arena for not making it crystal clear to the bandwagon fans from the beginning. Poor planning and execution on their part.

Darn shame certain fans had to ruin it for the rest. The rats after the game is part of the magic.

To answer your question, I don't know if anyone in Sawgrass has realized the potential.

I know when I was picking up our rats, the thought of buying the store out and selling them in the parking lot at the BAC did cross my mind.

That sucks

I want to see more rats on the ice at the end of the games, not less. Hopefully fans around Miami step it up and bring their own - get word out.

In his typical nice-guy fashion, Sean Bergenheim's thoughts on wanting to see #VictoryRats at Game 7: ""Oh, yes, please bring them."
So, does anybody know where I can pick these up locally? Or does anyone have a couple they would be willing to sell?

Tried a couple Part City locations and dollar stores. No luck.

Will try to find a Halloween store, but I would still be interested in purchasing them from a fan if anyone has some available.

Look up the history and youll get it.

Why do you (and half of me) still associate yourself with a hit that took place more than 30 years ago?
