In a division with the Flyers,Rangers and Pens ,the NYI are a very soft team.

No interest in seeing them getting softer

replace quincey with Brendan Smith and then you might catch Garth Snows attention

That would be borderline insanity

Isles have no intention of even considering to move Martin. As insane as it is, that's probably what it would take to get Snow to move him. Extreme overpayment.

no that would be how highly valued Matt Martin is valued by this franchise and by other teams as well, he is a legitimate hard hitting defensively aware 3rd line forward

Brendan Smith is a promising young defender of the same type quality and that is what it would take, its a quality for quality deal, not a what can the Red Wings afford to give up for quality deal

And that is fine by Islander fans.

Martin won the Islander's Bob Nystrom award this year for leadership, hustle, and hard work. He is the soul of the team and an absolute fan favorite. He has consistantly gotten better since coming into the league.

this season the isles were around ~15th in the league in hits, subtract matt martin's hits from their totals and they are 30th, that wont work in the atlantic division
