You will find that most player's offensive numbers tend to go down in the playoffs. This is not a coincidence.

If Washington wins, and we win, it literally will not matter if the Devils win.

I'm pretty sure Florida was the only sub .500 hockey team to make the playoffs. I expected a very easy sweep, maybe 5 games.

Agreed, it completely doesn't matter at this point.

Yeah and? Is it against some rule for the Devils to win and Washington to lose?

It would be such a big upset because I think the Devils were more favored in their series than any other team.

Yeah, he must be injured. There's no possible way he could be this invisible for the playoffs. Yeah that's it, injured.

Seriously, Florida had to be the worst playoff team/division winner I've seen.

They also held that division for most of the year(granted worst division in hockey).

But they had better record than Washington and its not like Devils were a powerhouse.

As I said, The Rangers losing in the first round is far more embarrassing. If we lose.

Either the Devils are horrible at defending breakouts, or the Panthers are actually good at rushing the puck out of the zone. That's the only thing that's impressed me from a Panthers standpoint.

I'm also very convinced that Ottawa would dispatch Florida with ease had they played in a series.

Should Florida win though, I will have trolling material against virtually everyone I know for quite some time.

Kovalchuk fires so many one timers wide.

Although I shouldn't be talking. No one on the Rangers PP ever takes one timers at all.

I'm glad they don't. Kovalchuk just did Florida's work for them.

Lol. No, but I'd trade him for Scott Hartnell +. It should be crystal clear now that Gabby's style of soft play just doesn't work well in the playoffs.

I'm not advocating that we trade him(although if there was a team out there dumb enough to take his contract, I would) but when his contract is up in 2014, wish him well and say good-bye!

The biggest problem everyone is pretty much a lefty. Its REALLY hard to take one timers unless your stick blade is angled to the net.

In our current configuration it would require a lot of shifting on part of the players.

WHA?

He has a year left on his contract and he was top five in goals in the regular season. Who the hell wouldn't take that contract?!

The thing is Gabs wouldn't want to leave.
