It'd be nice to have a Paajarvi sighting in the scoreboard in the 3rd. I just tuned into it late in the 2nd, hopefully he can get his game going and help his team get into the 2nd round.

I've been very impressed with Arcobello at this level. I'd say that he's been the most impressive of guys like Green, Keller, and the like.

I love how I just discovered that I can watch the game for free! atdhe has it streaming, as does firstrowsports.eu.

Cornet puts up the Barons 4-2, but now the Aeros are going to the PP. 11 minutes left in the 3rd.

Best OKC PP that I've seen this series. Pitlick looking really confident out there, kid looks like exactly the kind of player that we need.

This is weird. Paajarvi is being a physical, forechecking demon out there. He just stripped a Houston player, hit him as he passed him, knocking the guy off balance, then MPS chipped the puck in deep, hustled in, and crushed the Houston player going to play it. MPS came up with the puck and made a nice pass off and the Barons got a good shot on goal. WTF?

Crushed is a bit much IMO. That said he is in on the forecheck and has been getting his nose dirty. I'd still like to see him get a little grittier/meaner but even at this level it is apparent that he needs more strength.

I really hope MacT's favourite Wolves can come back to beat San Antonio. It would mean an Abbotsford (assuming they close out Milwaukee) vs. OKC series up next and I'd be able to go to at least a game or two!

Yea i'm in Burnaby and i've only been able to see the Barons play once so far, so that would be great. Too bad it's such a pain to get out to Abby and back.

Congrats Barons on eliminating Houston tonight with a 5-2!

Bring on round 2.

On a not as good side note the Barons attendance tonight with the top team in the west and with a chance to eliminate Houston have maybe their smallest crowd of the season tonight.

I didn't even see the Aero player I thought he was talking to a fan but then I remembered they were at home...

What's surprised me the most about Paajarvi is that he isn't carrying the puck, kid has so much speed but he's either abandoned that part of his game or been told to abandon that part of his game, very strange IMO. I expected that he'd play more of a skill role on his line, instead he is playing the dirty work role. I suppose that it's good if they are grooming him to flank RNH and Eberle/Nail, if not I can't say that I'm a fan of it at this point.

I don't know how accurate this is, but the announcer was saying that it was a short sales period because Houston won that game and OKC had only a couple days to put tickets on sale. I mean, there's always pre-sale for if-needed-games, but I'm not sure how many diehards there are in the market to make that work.

Great to see Pitlick have a solid second half of the season and now he has 4 points in 4 games in the playoffs.

Yep, he's playing very timid even moreso than usual. I gotta admit that i'm getting a little concerned about him even though it's probably too early to worry too much but his confidence seems shattered, he should at least be visible in these AHL games and it's hard to even notice him at all most of the time.
Lets hope that he picks it up as the playoffs go along, i think that he'll do well to put this season behind him and train really hard this summer.

On the other hand, Pitlick looks really good. He looks big out there and has huge skating strides, i see a definite player there.
He did get drilled a few times in the 3rd so he'll have to be careful of that but otherwise, good stuff from him.

It is interesting seeing comments of different people that watched the same game. One is remarking at how much more physical and aggressive Paajarvi is out there and the other saying he is more timid than usual.

I actually thought his confidence near the end of the season and his last two call ups was looking improved, as was his play. I missed most of the game tonight though.

The Oklahoma Thunder had a NBA playoff game tonight.

Hockey is second ( or third ) fiddle to them.

I'd say that he was on par with his performance the rest of this series, I wouldn't say that he was timid, however I wouldn't say that he was assertive either. It could be because he's banged up, but I expect more from him. The puzzling part for me is how little he has the puck in the neutral zone or the offensive zone unless he is below the goal line. Not liking that too much TBH.
