So Paul Ranger now 2 years out of hockey. What is the deal? Is the guys head that messed up? He was a very talented player who had a bright future. Whats the deal?

No one other than Paul Ranger himself seems to have a definitive answer, but the most reasonable explanation seems to be that he had a very late realization that playing pro hockey just wasn't his thing.
