Could not find the date but here is the link to the current draft order for this year as well as years past.

I believe the draft is usually the last week of June, not sure of which day though.

I have heard Leon Draisaitl is looking at coming over and some of the top OHL teams who are picking.. are looking at him.

He seems to be a very talented prospect. I do not know anything about the Schüler-BL league but he absolutely destroyed it with 192 pts in 29 games. He also was the league MVP for DNL last season. I would be happy if Erie drafted him and he came over (assuming they get a goalie through a trade), they are one or two more good forwards and a goalie away from maybe contending in two years.

Completley agree, Imagine a Mcdavid-Draisaitl 1,2 punch...

I also wouldnt mind a line of..
Ritchie95-Draisaitl95-Cornel96 in the future!!

Saw him play in Windsor at the
-17 tournament and he was less then impressive
There were lot more impressive Euros then him at that tourney, especially the Swedes and Russians, including all 4 goalies for Team Russia and Team Sweden

Ok thanks for your opinion, I know nothing about either league that he played in so the stats could be misleading to say the least. He did have nearly a point per game on the 17 tournament though with 8 pts in 9 games. However stats do not always tell a lot about a player, with that being said I would still hope Erie takes a top goaltender.

Very interesting.. There could have possibly been an adjustment period there if the talent level he had been playing with was so low... I still think this kid is gunna come over and be the next Tobias Reid or Tom Kunhackel(sp)

I will agree with hockeylegend11. I also caught him playing at the U17 and if I wasn't looking for him then I wouldn't have noticed him.

It doesn't mean he won't improve/adjust but I doubt he'd make an immediate impact.

I am curious about teams possibly having to renounce rights to current import picks in order to take part in the import draft. As I understand it teams are only allowed to have 2 players from the import draft and that there is no reserve list, making 2 the maximum. I believe last year I read that Kitchener relinquished their rights to Landeskog as it was obvious he would be moving on to the next level. My question really revolves around the Sarnia Sting with Yakupov and Rensfelt and the unkown that surrounds current NHL CBA negotiations. Rensfelt I believe could go to the AHL but Yakupov is either OHL bound or the NHL, so do the Sting need to let his rights go or leave the spot open just in case? I'm sure there are other teams in the same situation and I'm not convinced the NHL shutdowns once again but the potential does exist so I was just looking for clarification. Thanks in advance

So does anyone have any input on who teams are taking? I know there are some big names out there in Serebryakov, Dansk,Nichuskin, Tolchinsky etc..

Saginaw has signed Russian goaltender Nikita Serebryakov.
