Go Sens Go! Prove haters wrong. And Go Panthers. As a Sens VS Panthers second round would be the ultimate funny round, and possibly a huge kick to Burkes balls.

Let's do it Sens! Alfie needs to channel his anger to good things. Spezza needs to simplify, and karlsson needs to skate.

I'm so proud of what the sens have done so far! Keep it up boys!

I'm not worried about the Rangers. We've shown that we can outplay them during this series.

What worries me is how badly the refs are going to screw up.

Nice to see the Rangers fans stay classy in their GDT...

E.g. Alfie is represented as an old man having a heart attack, Neil is an "angry pumpkin" and every defender is called Princess Karlsson...

What a classy bunch, just go out and run 'em for that...

I thought it was funny. Can't take these things too seriously or it'll drive you nuts.

Lundqvist is Jesus holding a baby dinosaur. Come on.

Screw running 'em. That's exactly what they want us to do: goon it up and let them score. Not happening. Best revenge will be to knock them out of the playoffs.

More importantly, if their team was pushed to a seventh game by the eighth-seeded underdog team full of old men, angry pumpkins and princesses, what does that say about their organization?

Spezza is not practicing this morning, but he'll play tonight. Konopka's status is a little more unclear; he's not skating this morning.

Also, Matt Carkner is not out there this morning.

Hard to get line combos w/ guys missing, but I'm suspecting that Silverberg plays again tonight. Stone's status may depend on Konopka.

I don't see why fans get riled up about what other fans have to say. The talk is completely meaningless. For that matter, why should the Sens care what Rangers fans say? They shouldn't. It's just a useless and worthless distraction.

The Sens are focusing on the task at hand, which is to beat the Rangers and the best way to do that is to stay out of the penalty box, given the Rangers' struggles at even strength.

Exactly. As long as we on hfboards don't look beyond this series, throw any jinxes out, or dissolve into classless trash and flatulence, those boys we sent to NY will do just fine.

Wear your lucky jerseys tonight, everyone! And no sex 24 hours before game time.

A little fun with some PRE-SEASON MEMORIES!

thehockeywriters.com

15. Ottawa Senators (’10/’11 Standings: 74 pts, 13th place)

What can we say about the Ottawa Senators? It seems like yesterday the good ol’ Sens were among the NHL’s elite, vying for a Stanley Cup year after year. But it turns out this year’s club couldn’t be any further away than the ones that featured that incredible first line of Dany Heatley, Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson and came oh so close to hoisting the cup in 2007.

http://www.cbssports.com

15. Ottawa Senators

http://www.thehockeynews.com

15 OTTAWA SENATORS

Why: After finishing second-last in NHL scoring in 2010-11, it's clear the Senators have fallen long and hard from their days as a league powerhouse. The team started down the rebuild road and traded away many veterans, but still have Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson to hang their hat on. Ottawa has some tantalizing talent on its way up, namely Erik Karlsson on the blueline, but the future isn't here yet.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com

BOTTOM LINE: The Senators know their plight. They've restocked draft picks and prospects. Some are here now. Others are a few years away. Ottawa is at least that far from playoff contention again. Patience will be paramount -- in the moment and in the longer view.

Murray was the wise one:

"I think we're going to be a competitive team," Murray said. "We're obviously going to play harder and better than we did last year. I know some people have picked us to be 15th in the East, and some people think we're a little better than that. I don't pretend to want to put a number on it, but I do think we're a little better overall. I think our team speed will be better. The goaltending will be better. I'd like to think we have a chance to compete for a playoff spot, and that's the intent we're starting with."

Lol. Did you see the John Mitchell one? I don't know how any one could take that seriously. It has been a great series Sens fans, wish you guys best of luck tonight! May the battle begin!

To be fair, it's on the main SC board as well since NYR is the home team tonight.

But I don't see what's to be mad about. I thought it was hilarious.

Anyone else feel better about the Sens going into game 7 than they did before game 6?

I had big doubts about how the team would play in game 6, but expect them to be at 100% tonight.

Someone should have made an "on the Rags" edition GDT, and every Rags player is a picture of Towlie from South Park. Well Tortorella could have been an actual tampon though with his face imposed.

The two games we've won in NY were basically a hard hard fought game 2 and Andy standing on his head in game 5. I thought we had our chance in game 6 especially by not even showing up in the 2nd......

I don't feel great and won't until we score first. Tied I'm freaking out, losing I'm freaking out but if we score first I feel better lol
