eh, they're mostly all bashing Phoenix, which I can't fully argue with anyways.

The whole thread over there really got going when just 1 poster thought it was trotz taking a dig at Lidstrom telling him to come back because he didn't do too well in the playoffs. Luckily every other Wings fan put him in his place and agreed that Trotz was giving Lidstrom the upmost respect.

What's Hal Gills injury status, is he ready to go in game 1? He's going to be important for Nashville especially if they make a really deep run. He can eat some of the tough minutes that would otherwise be on Suter and Weber. And he still is an elite shutdown guy, being just barely able to turn isn't that much of a hindrance if you are something like 10 feet tall and play with a 15 feet stick like Gill does.

Lidstrom confirmed that Trotz said "don't retire" to him during the handshake.

I believe he will not retire. He's VERY close to a bunch of records that are breakable within next season.

All signs point to him being ready for game 1.

RT @WillyD1025: Suter says its unannounced but they assume they will start Friday. Sunday, then Wed & Fri in Nashville still looks like the plan. Unofficial

That just warms my heart. Good on Barry.

This wait for the next game is agonizing.

Couldn't agree more. Agree on Barry and I am dying for Game 1. Not to mention that my brother is a Coyote fan. Next week or so should be fun in my family.

While I like the Coyotes a bit and would normally wish them good luck (especially Kyle Chipchura)...

... I hope the Preds come out on top in this fight.

The "Blackberry Cup". We could make a cup replica out of those old bricks that used to actually feel cutting edge. I have one or two laying around somewhere... can't throw them out b/c they make me feel so good to see them to remind me that Ball-silly's former fortune is reduced to some significant measure.

Going through the full practices, doing all the drills, looks good to go. Speaking of Gill......

I'm sure most of us already knew this, but for some of our out of town or new bandwagon fans....

Chet Pickard tweeted this picture the other day of 3 more mohawks.

I think I would love it if the whole team got on board with this. And I know it's lame, but my first thought at this picture was: "I got a fever, and the only prescription is more Mohawk!"

Looking through my DirecTV guide, it looks like Game 1 in PHX will be on NBC Sports (603) at 8:30PM tomorrow! Thankfully DirecTV has an alternate channel for them (604) that will start the next game if the Eastern Conf game goes over so we don't have to miss any of our game!!

And on this note I can't stress this enough: It is 100% worth it for those of us that live overseas to purchase NHL Gamecenter Live. I split the cost with a Canadian friend who is a Senators fan. Get to watch all the games you want, crystal clear, can choose the home/away feed (during the playoffs I've noticed one feed is NBC and the other will be either CBC/TSN).

Only ones I know of are: Klein, Bouillon, Josi, Gill, Pickard, Halischuk, hopefully there are more though.

I don't know who I really want to listen to during the games now (CBC/TSN/NBC) due to the fact the canadian group will probably talk up the blackberry angle and NBC will probably like they've always done, poo-poo'd Poile & co

Gill goes with a mohawk. Team player there boy, especially for a deadline pick-up.
Respect.

Gill is awesome. With the mohawk and reading some of his tweets; guy reminds me of a teenager in a humongous man's body. Seems like he would be a blast to hang out with outside the rink.

My first reaction to the Klein mohawk was meh. Now I'm kinda digging it since several of his teammates are going with it. I suppose that makes me a bandwagoner. If Suter goes mohawk, I'll do it.
