There's not much to analyze after an effort like that. The answers were on the ice in a big way.

Out of everybody you have to feel bad for Biron. He is a back up, but as a fan, I can't help but day dream about playing in games like this, I can only imagine how he feels.
By the way, where is Snowblind now that they won? Some people disappear when the Rangers win, but hes the only person I've ever seen that only shows up when they lose.

Yes but i still contend that we really had more of a role in it than ottawa..although they played well its our lack of offense that hurt us...we took away alot with out defense and goalteding..i mean Karlsson leading scoring defenseman in the league finished with what kinda stats ...1 assist i think...i mean you gotta score some and the series dosent go this long...but its not only about well we missed the net or the keeper made a save...but about creativity on offense to create scoring chances...they are at times clumsy when trying to create...add missed nets and keeper maing some saves you have very little left...someones gotta start making plays if we want to keep advancing..just a little offensive flow is all i would ask for.

Some guys predicted this. We would be leaving teams scratching their heads wondering how they outplayed us but lost the series. It's just the way the Rangers play. Everyone is still saying the Rangers are lucky.

I'm sure when he signed he was under no impression that he would be seeing playoff ice time.

Nice win for you guys. I'm rooting for you to take the Cup.

Trying to settle a small disagreement-was Kreider on the ice at the end? I thought I remember him on the pp but other guy says no. And if not whe was the last time he was on ice? I remember him sometime late in the game.

Thanks

Washington barely made the playoffs. That's not a bad opponent for round 2.

The Senators barely made the playoffs, and look how that series turned out.

My point was just that the Caps should not be underestimated, as they've played well thus far. And Holtby has been great. They'll provide a lot of challenges and are very much capable of beating the Rangers if the Rangers don't play to their ability.

Seeds in the playoffs, (especially these playoffs) don't matter. Every team has the ability to beat us, whether or not we carry this momentum into the next series is up to the boys. Start at 0 again and keep playing the way we do.

* Ailurophile promised to eat Kershaw's pubes if we win round 2. (http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...7#post48675547 - scroll to the middle of the page)

I think we all will be looking forward to seeing it on YouTube.
please don't take this the wrong way.... I agree they are a better match up in the 2nd round than what we could have been facing....BUT

still not an easy task, if they can knock off the defending stanley cup champions, and play a d style game now then run and gun game...it just adds to another difficult series coming up here...holtby is a similar goalie to anderson, have to get him moving, need patience for him to make the first move cuz he makes the first move and then strike....it will be a great challenge!
