Our possible options for the second round were: Pens, Philly, Devils and Washington. We got the easiest of the possible opponents.
I didn't want to face them in round 1 (and even started a thread saying this), but I'm glad to see them in the second round because no remaining team at this point is weaker than them.
I see the caps taking this in 6. They played shutdown better than the prototype shutdown team in the NHL this round, and if you don't want to play shutdown with them, they got a LOT of high end skill. I think they're a much tougher opponent than Ottawa.
And as you all call me a troll: I live in Westchester and I don't even root for the Caps. So sorry.

They're confident because they have beaten us in the past couple years but we are a much better team now and also last yearwe wer msising Callahan. It wont be easy but i was scared of ottawa more because karlsson is a beast defensemen Caps dont have that

If Kreider can play like a solid top-9 player who can stretch the opposition's defense with his speed, it will be big. Having two speedsters in Kreider and Hagelin will make us more of a threat offensively, which is what we've lacked before.
working saturday but im in a van so ill get to hear it on the radio at least. my boss is a big rangers fan too so when i'm back at the shop i'm sure we'll have it on the tv
i see this series being pretty tough but i honestly don't think holtby plays out of his mind like he did against boston. young goalies like that have a tendency to burn out after the first series, especially if it goes 7 games. he's shown weaknesses. this is a better team than ottawa but i think we can beat their goalie and i think we match up against them much better. their speed isn't overwhelming and their strength isn't even close. shut down ovy, backstrom, and semin and we'll be fine.
i think both teams are riding high on emotions here, but the rangers are clearly the better team in this series.
