And as you all call me a troll: I live in Westchester and I don't even root for the Caps. So sorry.
1.) Shut down team? Washington was a -8 on the season this year allowing 226 goals to their 218... They beat the Bruins because they're a good match up AND the Bruins were not nearly as physical as they usually were.
2.) Their high end skill couldn't hold a candle to Ottawa this year. The names on the back of Washington's jerseys are much scarier than their actual play. It's been this way for two years now. Also, Ottawa was a much greater offensive force this year scoring 243 for a 2.88 G/g
3.) The Caps don't even have a physically intimidating player and as a team they're very soft. Had the Bruins not lost track of their identity and came out hitting more the Caps wouldn't be in the second round.

Great post. I don't fear any team in this league. We have to beat everyone to get to where we want to be. Let's ****ing do this.

I know it's probably going to be a long, tough series, but wish the Rangers would sweep the Caps because their fans have been chirping that they would own the Rangers in a playoff series since before the regular season ended.

And they don't have Zenon Konopka to win 75% of the faceoffs.

I'd be surprised if the Caps took us deeper then 6 games. This matchup shouldnt be as tough as Ottawa.

As frustrating as the Sens were, their fans were pretty intelligent (if not annoyingly so). Caps fans are generally ********, so talking about this series on the mainboards will be a whole new monster (Pierreism). You could at least reason with a Sens fan.

I think the Rangers can beat them. Won't say how many games. But we've come close so many times with such an inferior squad. It will be rough but I think we can do it.

What in the ****.

What is with both leagues and Sat. afternoon. I don't get it.

They did this last year, too. How do you have two playoff teams in the biggest market play at the same time. There has to be a logical reason for this because it makes no sense from a business standpoint.

I was thinking one in the afternoon and one at night considering the conflicting playoff times...

Guess, however, I was wrong....and the leagues are ********....

Caps fans seem uuuuuuuuuultra confident.

I think it'll be a tight, long series.

Looking forward to it!

If the Rangers win both games at home, I'm calling this as a short series.

If they split, it'll go long.

Get those two wins quick boys.
