perhaps he could just be a winger on the third line with two other gritty dudes? I reallly don't like the top 6 or bust type of talk

Philips PPG average as some have alluded to was actually better playing without Huberdeau and Coyle.
6. 1--187 not small, not big--at 19, at 21 will be 200 lbs, goes to dirty areas and gets in lanes and will fight if need be, so IMO could play a third line role if need be.
I live in Saint John, watch most games, skating is good, explosiveness needs work, top end speed is very good, Coach gerard Gallant who played with Adam Oates, makes that comparison alot in conversations Ive had with him.
TREMENDOUS heart and character.

PS. Coyle is really something else !!

3-2 OT win for saint john tonight, Philips just set up Coyle for winner late in the first OT session.
Coyle has 1g-2a, Philips has 2a in the win ! Add in a Granlund, Zucker, Larsson or Bulmer with these two, give it a couple of years, you've got yourselg a very good young line !

I know

Coyle doesn't get the pub Huberdeau does, but given the chance to swap them straight up....I'm not sure I would.
