Jackson has never pressured anyone. He's a mediocre back-up at best. That was an idiotic draft pick by Minnesota when it happened and it was dumb of Seattle to even think he was capable of doing the job after he played himself out of Minnesota's plans.
Once a QB has started in the NFL, he'll always be able to find jobs in the NFL, unless he gets some leaguewide stigma attached to him like JaLardass Russell did. NFL coaches and GMs are risk-averse. They always want a guy with starting experience on the roster, even if he was terrible.
So, if Steelers take Ta'amu, will it make this the super rare draft where a team picked almost exactly who the fans wanted with their picks?
A pick away now...if the Steelers draft Ta'amu in the 3rd round I will do a ****ing cartwheel*.
With the sea changes going on with the Steelers roster this year this draft needs to be a big one...we're still in the midst of the drafts so proclaiming greatness is, obviously, foolish...but I'm loving it so far and we really do have a chance to make a slam-dunk third rounder here, even if it's not Ta'amu.
No guarantee that it'll be successful.
“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile, but that it is indifferent. If we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death, our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” - Stanley Kubrick
