Not surprising for a top scorer like Holloway to get a lot of attention from other European leagues like the KHL. I'm guessing the Kings will have to offer him a one way contract for him to consider coming back. With Parse coming off the books I'd definitely offer him a similar contract.

I've never seen him play, any comparable player on the Kings or NHL to give me an idea?
Not all across Europe, I know for a fact the KHL only counts primary assists, and there are a couple lower level leagues that actually track both primary and secondary assists seperately (some of the Italian and Germen 2nd leagues.) I'm pretty sure the Elitserien counts both primary and secondary same as the NHL and the main difference is that Elitserien games are played on Olympic sized ice instead of the smaller North American Ice that the NHL uses.

I view Lewis as the replacement for Richardson and Holloway as being a possible replacement for Parse, Penner, or Gagne if none of them are retained or able to return. With the emergence of King and how well he's done with Richards and Carter I gotta think the top 6 will be Brown Kopitar Williams, and King Richards Carter for the next few years. Holloway could be a perfect fit in that 3rd line wing role that can move up and play on the 2nd in case of injury.

Found this on youtube. Not the best quality video, but some good stuff from Tyler Toffoli

Bud Holloway just broke the record of most points scored in the playoffs in SEL. And Oscar Moller just scored what could be the game winner with 6 minutes left..

You should check your facts since KHL most definitely counts primary and secondary assists. Just the box scores from KHL's website.

I don't know any major European league that wouldn't count both primary and secondary assists.

Yeah, I was wondering about this myself too. Radulov had 60 assists two years ago. Pretty crazy if only primary assists would count...

I believe in the past, a long long time ago, this was different. When Tretiak, Krutov were still playing.

George "Bud" Holloway, incredible. Who would have thought. Surprised someone like Peter Forsberg never had any more points.

That's AWESOME!!!

Thanks for sharing.

Does anyone know if Holloway can still be added to our roster for the playoffs?

He'd have to clear waivers if the Kings signed him and brought him over. The Kings will have to wait to sign Holloway over the summer.

He's an RFA, he can't play for anyone this season. RFAs must be signed before the December deadline.

Waivers are for UFA's.

I could be wrong but I do believe Holloway is also eligible to become a UFA this summer (Group VI). If so, Holloway and his agent may have done this on purpose to drive up his asking price over the summer. Even if he doesn't sign an NHL contract or a one-way deal, he could possibly earn more by signing with a European club.

He's only 24. Group six is for 25.

Europe doesn't count as a professional season. I believe Holloway has to wait until he is 27 to be UFA. I think dean signs him to a one-way deal to get him in camp. Kings have room in the bottom six.

Great for Toffoli and Gibson... and especially Gibson winning game 7 on the road!

My bad was thinking KHL was the same rules as the old RSL which didn't... Checking into it I was wrong.

Has Forbort cleaned up his play from his disastrous campaign in the Hlinka?

67s lost tonight. Toffoli has played his last OHL game. He'll be in Manchester next year no doubt.

Wonder if the kings will call up Toffoli as a "black ace".

No offense to Tyler, but I think he would get eat up in these type of playoff games.

Heavy body, relentless fore checking. I envision Tyler would cough the puck up a lot.

Tyler needs a year in the AHL to play against MEN.

Black Ace is a term for someone who practices but doesn't play. Soooooo, there's that.

I've heard it but really not that much. Unless you really post here a lot and read other boards besides the Kings board, wouldn't surprise me if a lot haven't heard of the term.

So Toffoli may be called up. I would bet money on him not playing though even if he does. Wouldn't be bad to get him some practice with the big boys though.

Kings forward prospect Tyler Toffoli had his junior season end tonight when the Ottawa 67s lost to Niagara 3-2 in the Ontario Hockey League playoffs. The Kings have been considering the idea of bringing Toffoli to the NHL now, but nothing has been made official.

Toffoli won’t play for the Manchester Monarchs, because their season ended tonight with a 3-2 overtime loss to Norfolk in the AHL playoffs. The Kings could now, if they want to, call up additional AHL players.
