Your tears taste so...sweet.

If the caps won in 09 would it have been the "worst thing to happen to hockey" because they couldn't defend?

Caps bandwagoners are obnoxious when they get confident. Too blind to realize the Rangers put on a clinic on how to win a hockey game against a team that has more natural talent.

chris kreider is the big x factor and difference maker in this game wow! 2 game winning goals already! been following this kid for about 2 years now and i couldn't have thought he would have even did this good in the playoffs! im just amazed on how clutch he is right now i didnt expect it at all. i expected a stud with some seasoning under his belt. it looks like hes here to be a difference maker NOW! i did not see that and that is why im even 1000x more impressed with him right now.

instantly up there with cally and the king as my favorite players on this team.

Guys like Hagelin and Kreider might be more effective late in the game because they are so fast and it would be particularly effective late in the game. I wonder if keeping them fresh early and then really playing them late in the game would work. Let them fly when the defense is tired.

glad to see feds' contributions aren't getting overlooked/forgotten. Him and Richards really showed their veteran status (and I was cool with Rupps little run at holtby at the start too. Atleast I chalked it up as a veteran trying to shake up a rookie)

I thought we played fine today. Yeah 14 shots...the Caps only got a few more then us. This is how this series is going to go. We play a similar defensive style and both teams block alot of shots. SOG's and scoring chances wont be very high. Its about taking advantage of what you can get....we did that today.

Alot of talk about three Caps goalposts...remember two of them Hank got a piece of the shots so its not like he was beaten. Callahan had a post for us in the 2nd too. Kreider, Richards, Feds were all great today. Even thought Arty looked the best he's looked since Game 1 vs Ottawa.

I feel like we've found our game again starting in Game 6. Keep playing this way and we'll be fine.

Heck of a game by Fedotenko and Kreider. Artie came up big and hopefully will get him going.

The lack of love Rupp gets is upsetting. The man commands the 4th line. That might not sound like much but he's always in a "score" mode and generates offense.

Feds had a great game to including his epic shot blocking shift.

Yeah, exactly. More shots would be nice, but they did put 3 on the scoreboard. Can't complain too much if your offense scores 3 goals in a playoff game.

KREIDER, McDonagh, Henrik.

Awesome game, played smothering defense, Veniza-caliber goaltending and the offense game through. Chris Kreider is the real mother ****ing deal people! All the doubters who said he wasn't ready need to be eating some serious crow.

Nice win, if fans of other teams don't think we're flashy enough, then so be it. Pitching and defense wins in baseball, defense and goaltending will lead us to the Cup!

Great forecheck, great job 5 on 5, but need to get pucks into more dangerous areas.

They controlled most of the game except when they took penalties, but they struggled to get the puck in front. I was so happy when Anisimov at least tried that wraparound cuz they just didn't get pucks in front until then

Need to be better in game 2 cuz Holtby isn't gonna give up some of those soft goals every game

Rangers forecheck owns the Caps D. If they can keep it up, their D are gonna get worn down, especially work over Green and Hamrlik. You can see they're already starting to play hot potato with the puck and coughing it up, keep the pressure on, better chances will come.

Feds was a HUGE part of this win. His PK effectiveness on the 5 on 3 should not be overlooked.

Anisimov stepped up to the plate today. Scored a big goal and was strong in all three zones. He's gotten a lot of flack for his play, but he's been good so far in the playoffs. 4 points in 8 games.

Richards was an animal today too. without Dubi, he was out on the PK, PP, and ES. Great goal.

There are no words that can describe Kreider. Unbelieveable that only a few weeks ago he was in the Frozen Four and now is contributing in the top 6 of a top seeded NHL team.

McDonagh never ceases to amaze me. He made one bad turnover, but besides that is a rock.

Thought the 4th line was decent even with Eminger out there. Mitchell played well, as did Rupp. They had some zone time and played effective in their own zone.

Gabby might not have scored, but he made the effort to go to the net and make plays on the boards. He'll get one and his confidence going soon. Just a matter of time with him.

Effort was there from the whole team and it showed with their efficiency in the defensive zone.

11 more just like it.

No way should Henrik be one of the stars of the game. He was more lucky than good. Don't just vote for Lundqvist just because he's good in so many other games. He gave up 5 goals, but was lucky enough that 4 of them hit the post. That was more posts than I've seen in years. Lundqvist was very, very lucky today. If he wasn't so lucky, he could've even been pulled after 3-4 goals.

Most of the team was better than him today.

BOOM! Kreider gets the first star if it's up to me... He was phenomenal even besides his goal and assist. Rangers only got 14 shots on goal so we need more firing power. Our first line is still not what it should be. Gaborik get's the Casper award so far. He has been invisible since game 1 of Round 1.
