Detroits pick is gonna be a lot higher than 23 and I don't see SY taking a goalie in the first round when there are BPA.

Detroit WOULD have drafted a lot higher than 23, until their GM traded their first round pick for Kyle Quincy at the trade deadline.

I would say that the islanders pick forsberg, or galchenyuk.

also, I don't believe that vasilevski will fall to the 2nd round. I would take him over subban.

If Trouba is gone at 6, then Minnesota would probably take one of Rielly, Ceci or Reinhart. The Wild are fine in the forward/goalie department; their biggest need is defense.

Since Trouba is taken, I chose BPA for them! I know they're stacked at offense, but Forsberg is too good to pass on!

I can see they pick Forsberg, but why Galchenyuk? They already have a solid C-core in Tavares, Strome, Nielsen etc. Tavares and Strome will be C1 and C2.

I concur — and while there are several good young D on the way to the line up – many playing in Bridgeport — it is very possible this year Isles take one of the top d-men.

Isles have too many forwards as it is.
Tavares, Bailey, Okposo, Grabner, Neilsen, Nino, Strome, Ullstrom, Cizikas, Martin — and that is before you resign P.A. Parenteau which makes 11. They have 3 bodies to start the season on the blueline... Streit, MacDonald and Hamonic. My guess is de Haan and Donovan have a great shot at making the team, and they sign a mid-tier vet to act as a stop-gap. That would also leave a gap in defensive prospects with guys like Pedan and Mayfield still a number of seasons away. Drafting one of Dumba, Murray, Trouba it actually makes the most sense. Not to play in the NHL next season, but it fills a long term need.

Isles have a lot of talent that is slowly maturing. But they dont have a potential game changing defender.

Ugh! I really can't get excited for this year's draft! IMO last years was much better, heck I was more worked up about the 2010 Draft.

I really don't care who Ottawa drafts, but I wouldn't complain if it is one of Ceci, Tervainen, Colberg or Åberg.

I could definetly see Ottawa trading down, or trading for a player from last year's draft.

Can say I'm pretty happy if the Leafs get Galchenyuk at 5. Could see the top 10 working out like that.

If the Ducks get Jacob Trouba at sixth I'll be happy.

Dont forget that Strome also plays RW and Galchenyuk also plays LW. Or even that Forsberg plays Center and Wing.

Top 5 looks pretty solid. I would like to see it go that way. I can't really comment on the rest because I haven't been paying too much attention to mid/late first rounders.

The Isles are in the market for a game changing defenseman. Dumba fits the bill and has a lot of offensive upside. For those that think Dumba is too small has to realize he WILL get bigger. He is that kind of defenseman that other teams worry about. Murray is a great player, but the Isles have too many safe defenseman in the system already.

Im assuming you have only seen highlights or what scouts say? Have you watched any of the games he played in? Big hits in games can change a game.
