Kreider is a game changer. Hope that our $7 mil sniper can become one at some point in this series.

Rangers are benefitting so much from having Kreider step into the top 6 like this.

Keider looks like he is going to be special!
It was nice to see them play solid again as they have all year.

Again..The caps play the same game we do except we have a better D and better goalie...Plus the caps dont have the speed Ottawa does..i dont know why people are so worried about the caps...even though its only game 1... i just didnt see a problem before the series...or moving foward from here...

Lundqvist saved 3 of those 4 posts before they hit metal. There's no such thing as luck, there's hitting the iron and not hitting the iron.

This is a very insightful, poignant, and relevant post...

If he wasn't so lucky, he could've even been pulled after 3-4 goals.

Most of the team was better than him today.
Sorry but this post is garbage. Posts happen for a few reasons, either a player flat out beats the goalie and gets unlucky or a goalie has great positioning forcing the player to try pick a spot. Not only that but two of those posts came after Lundqvist got a piece of the shot, Semin's crossbar and the one in the third after McDonagh turn over.

ive said it before and ill say it again....outwait holtby he makes the first move every time, if that does not change soon, richards/gabby will be licking their chops if they get space/time because they know how to beat him, i saw it on a couple goals in the boston series and i think richards sees it

Bickel with 4 shifts in the first, 3 in the second, 0 in the third (total 5:31)
Rupp with 4-2-1 shifts (5:26)
Eminger (as a forward) with 1-2-1 shifts (4:25)
Mitchell with 2-3-2 shifts (7:06)

Bickel ain't THAT bad that he doesn't even get a shift in the 3rd... C'mon Torts...

Fully agree. Gaborik adding some steady scoring would help a lot too.

Also Rangers just keep baiting Semin into penalties going forward. Make it as physical as possible on him.

That trend could become more and more problematic as the series progresses. Gotta balance out the ice time a bit better than that, in my opinion.

Haha I love reading caps fans comments. They are still cocky and think they're gonna beat us in 5 games.

Feds had an amazing game, wow!

Not because of his assist, but because of his play on the defensive end. So glad that Feds is playing like he did in last years playoffs because he saved one or two glorious chances.

Pumped to get Boyle and Dubi back in the lineup at some point as well, I am liking our chances.

Well, maybe the trend will indeed continue with rookie Cap goalies doing well in the 1st round and average in the 2nd

Fedotenko was a defensive monster today, for sure. And I agree about Dubinsky & Boyle: the sooner they get back, the better.
