Spoken like someone who knows nothing about the game. This is the playoffs and having players who buy into the system is imperative. The Rangers have one of the best (if not the best) goalie in the game and their play in their own end is extremely impressive. Guys sacrifice, they'll take a shot off their face if it helps the team. You're not going to run and gun the Rangers. If you want to watch high scoring games go turn on the ****ing NBA. Maybe hockey isn't your sport.

It's a team that can play in all 3 zones. And even if you get penetration you still have to deal with Lundqvist. A complete team. I, for one, enjoy watching a complete team like that. Go watch the Oilers if you want that no D run and gun garbage. Oh wait, you can't, they're sitting at home..

I really agree with that. There is no way that they can become complacent. Semin and Backstrom are so scary in the way that they can turn a game around with one incredible shot.
As much as Semin is a threat though, he is also a detriment to the Capitals. It is true that he probably is much more disciplined now than he has been in the past, simply due to living under the rule of Dale Hunter.

2 comments about the Caps:

-Mike Green should be ashamed of himself for his play on the Kreider goal. Tries to make an ill-advised line change and then comes back with a half-assed effort to break up the play. Didn't even really extend himself or try and dive to deflect the shot. Simply awful.

-I always enjoy watching Marcus Johansson transport the puck. He has to be one of the best forwards in the league at carrying the puck into the offensive zone and setting up or creating offense.

I wonder is there a rule where you gotta come up with cheesy one liners to get to work at NHL.com? Wow just wow...

I felt it was even broadcasting after the first period. From then on it was favoring the caps.

Well they do appreciate great defense. Remember the cups they won playing D and a trapping game?

Never in my 20 years of watching the Rangers did I ever expect to be here reading a Devil's fan coming to the defense of the Rangers being accused of playing boring, defensive hockey. Well done, sir.

(and you're absolutely correct in what your said.)

I'm a fan of the game above all else. Rooting interests aside, this is a great Rangers team. Hell, it pains me to say it, but it's the truth...
