I've been watching a whole heck of a lot of hockey and it's amazing seeing how different we play when compared to some of these EC teams. They're soft and can't play defense to save their lives. Hell, they keep talking about that rookie Caps goalie like he's the second coming and I've never seen rebounds bigger.

It's nice to get a little happy about what we have.
The kings had the second most defensemen goals in the regular season. By far the highest percentage.

SHG - Matt Greene (1) Tip-in

Has to be the most unexpected sight in a box score ever.

Blues fans already blaming the refs.

It's not the refs that gave up the SH goal.

King's penalty was called correctly. Suspensions? Who knows. He's not a star and the player that was hit is hurt. Could be one game.

If the blues want to see a blatant boarding call. They should watch what happened to Clifford.

Wow, what a tough game. Brownie is deceptively fast and he's been a terror on the PK. Teams can't sleep on he or Richards with the man advantage. As far as the whole Petro thing that everyone is clamoring about, it didn't look terribly bad when it happened. There have been way worse boarding calls out there and even then, Engblom didn't even go nuts until they saw the blood on his chin. As the play happened, it was a 2 minute call and that's all the refs can do.

Different opinions, you say?

I honestly don't care for any of them. They are all trash besides Ralph Strangis..

But whatever, it's what the mute button is for

The commentating is fine. No where even close to the clowns Hughson and Hahn we have had to deal with in the past.

That can't happen when on the PP. it was a lazy play.
I've watched it plenty. Nothing to do with Backes. It was a awful bounce for them after Backes won the face-off. Backes lazy? You mean the guy that caught and passed Shattenkirk was being lazy? Unfortunate bounce but if anyone is to blame it's Shattenkirk or Elliot for letting that rebound sit there so long when Brown had nothing to do with him overplaying it.

Don't attempt to cherry pick examples to downgrade a damn good player. He's very deserving of his nomination.

I can't stand Ray Ferraro, I'm very upset TSN is covering our series. Jim Hughson and Craig Simpson weren't bad at all, I could put up with them.

But how about Matt Greene and Dustin Penner coming big for us tonight? I know all the work was Dustin Brown on Greene's goal but that was great instincts on his part to follow Brown all the way down ice. You need contribution from everyone if you want to go far in the playoffs.

Also, Quick is a beast, but that goes without saying

That SHG by Greene pretty much sealed the deal for the Blues.

Everyone on their team was probably like, "what the F just happened"

They went from 110% to 50%. And Pancakes unintentional goal was almost like an insult.

Love how prior to the series we were warned that we never faced them in the regular season with their BEST PLAYER Andy McDonald. Now they're mad at the Kings for taking out their BEST PLAYER Pietrangelo on a "routine" boarding play that was penalised.

This stuff is starting to look familiar.

Agreed. I thought they were a breath of fresh air to listen to compared to the first round. I was happy.

That's called baby tears. They can't handle losing, so they need to find an excuse.

too much hate for the pp. We are playing teams who are great on the pk, imagine how frustrated other teams fans must be when their team cant get anything going vs the Kings pp.

I guess for you guys its a step up but for the lot of us that were able to hear Bob and Jim its a big step down, I'm sure I'll get used to these announcers but not as of today

this game could have gone either way. we really need to find a way to convert our chances. Carter and Penner get props for stepping up from their usual disappointing selves, but Carter has to start sinking some. This game was won by the luck of the draw, similar to how Penner scored. Would like us to increase our goal count to 3+ every game.

Also, i think King is going to get a suspension. probably deserved too. some of the penalties were a bit ticky-tacky though by the refs. we were lucky to be on some of the lucky sides of the ref calls.

Props:
Quick
Brown
Penner
Carter (relative to Vancouver series)
Voynov

Blues fans are bigger whiners than I expected. For the self-proclaimed "best fans in all of sports", I'm not too impressed.

Oh, no, I had Bob/Jim for some games in the first round too. Obviously they're my preference. I just didn't hear any overwhelming bias for the Blues on tonight's broadcast. I can't imagine complaining about tonight's broadcasting team after suffering the Hughson, Hayward, and co. for some of the first round against Vancouver.

I just think the beginning of the game, the broadcast was all Blues and all about them and what they were doing.

It came back to balanced after King attempted murder on the greatest player ever to play the game (Pieterangelo is slightly better then Mario)

Yep. Every Kings hit is dirty, the Kings interfere on every goal, ect. They make the Canucks fans look awesome because they took their losses like men instead of crying like babies.
