we've been over this before I think (not you necessarily).

edit--this is exactly how rumors and opinions turn into canon. one person says they could have sworn someone said something, then six people who read that opinion state it as fact in different places. That deal didn't get done without the 1st round pick either.

Alright, I got it wrong.

GMCF said he was the center piece of the deal. I just remembered I posted the quoted part of an article here. Just needs to remember in which thread and when.

well link it when you find it. it's like the elusive proof that Gaborik said he didn't want to play here anymore otherwise--just people taking a popular opinion and running with it as fact. also if you find it it can be used to beat down some of the stupid trade proposals made involving us giving up Coyle for veterans.

Thanks Maladus!

Granlund v.s. Brodin + Larsson is about to start, here's a link.

Brodin played very reassuring yesterday, makes most situations look simple even at this level. Should do fine in NHL next season.

Anyone know what numbers Brodin and Larsson are wearing for Sweden?

Granlund with only point out of Wild players/prospects in Finland vs. Sweden. It was an assist on an empty net goal.

Pretty sure the proof that he didn't want to play here was the fact that, you know, he isn't playing here anymore. Took a smaller deal to leave, even.

Surprised it hasn't been added in here that Matt Hackett was named to team Canada for the WC.

Both Brodin and Larsson made it through the first cut and will play US this Tuesday. After that game, coaches will decide Swedens final WC team. Hard competition but both Brodin and Larsson have increased their chances after good play in Brno (Larsson named best swedish player in game against Russia). Some nice company, should they make it the whole way to the WC rooster:

D Jonathan Ericsson - Detroit
D Niklas Kronwall - Detroit
D Victor Hedman - Tampa Bay
D Erik Karlsson - Florida
F Johan Franzén - Detroit
F Henrik Zetterberg - Detroit
F Daniel Alfredsson - Ottawa
F Gabriel Landeskog - Colorado
F Loui Eriksson - Dallas
F Victor Stalberg - Chicago
F Marcus Krüger - Chicago

larsson named the best player in the Russia game and got tons of Ice time vs Finland yesterday when they needed goals. The commentator said that Brodin has impressed him the most these games, he plays very calm and mature.
Oh and granlund had great passes vs Sweden, again.
And Koivu and Larsson were chirping at each other in a situation the last game

That's awesome! I keep seeing comments that larsson is a natural leader--i wonder how that'll play out. Little Alpha male issues?
